Just got a call from this number.  if I don't know the number I don't answer. They can keep calling for all I care. Too many more calls and I will put the number in call blocking on the cell phone.

They called and said goodbye instantly.

"Insurance Rate Lab" allegdly calling from FL, but accented caller [didn't sound East Indian] refused address. Lead geenrator for auto insurance agents.  Similar M.O. to calls from US Auto Care. May be affiliated with insuranceagents.com and BankRate.

Insurance Rate Lab calls on behalf of 21st Century Insurance Co., and 21st's call center in Idaho refuses to provide its address and refused to provide info on who Insurance Rate Lab really is.

A local newspaper article suggested going to a website to compare rates for insurance. I entered data, thinking that it would give me a comparison chart of rates. Only after this point did it become obvious that I would be directed to an agent. So, I closed the site.  Within the hour, my phone started ringing – agents from all over the US! Still going on 3 months later!
I don’t answer calls from “numbers”. If you are not in my contacts, you leave a v-mail. If you don’t, your number is in my contacts as “DO NOT ANS – TELEMARKETER”. Some phone services will also allow you to “block” the number so your phone never rings.

INCREDIBLY CREEPY. I called this number back and it didn't even ring, a woman said my full name and I responded "Who are you and why do you know my name". The connect was terrible but all I heard was "insurance". I politely said I was not interested and remove me from the list.

Complete [***]! Called me 7 times in one day from different numbers. I picked up and the woman said she was from the insurance rate something or other. I very nicely told her that I would give her my email and address and they can send me any offers in writing, but please delete my phone number. Before I could even finish this rude woman raised her voice and told me that's not how they do business and that she does not want to deal with belligerent people like me. Really?????! I didn't raise my voice or curse or anything. I was way nicer then I should have been. So how's this, take your company and stick it up your ass!!! You all suck at doing business and if you got a guy on the phone that is being pleasant don't be an [***] to him. I hope someone from this company reads this and has the balls to respond, though I know they never will!!!!

Called me around 12ish yesterday afternoon. I am on DNC... And so many calls have occurred since registering it..

Was called multiple times from this #.
The last time I picked up and asked who was calling and what it was about. The guy had a thick indian accent I couldn't even understand, but mentioned my name, address and insurance. I said I did not request any insurance recently ever.
So frustrating!
Ive been getting so many weird calls like this.
Does anyone know if this is a form of some kind of identity theft????

After reading these comments, I know it has to be Farmers or Safe Auto.
I requested quotes with who I thought were reputable companies. And luckily not many, that was over 1 month ago and the calls just started this week.
Now I have to read the fine print to see if they give your info away from now on, no matter who it is.
