Wanted to update a magazine subscription.

They called at 9:55am. Since I don't recognize the number I let it go to voicemail. They did not leave a message.

Got this call a few minutes ago.  The caller ID said it was "Customer Care" and since my wife passed away a few months ago, I thought it could be one of her medical suppliers, so I picked up and found out it was a magazine service wanting to sell me magazines.  I hung up on the woman.

They have called my place of work several times a day, every day wanting to update a "free" subscription to Security Products Magazine.

Same as JM, live call to my business line. Told them I don't subscribe to Security Products Magazine. Since it's a live call to business, there's not really anything the FTC can do for this unless they call again after you tell them to put you on their Do Not Call list, or you're a residential/cell number on the DNC.

I received the call at 10:30am, did not recognize the number and let it go to VM. No message.
From looking at the posts above it does not surprise me that the call was from a magazine subscription renewal
service. This is their M.O.  I used to subscribe to numerous trade journals, and even though I no longer receive them
I am still plagued by calls asking to renew. Asking them to stop does no good. And they keep changing their phone
numbers so blocking is also futile.

This number called me for the past week sometime a couple times a day. I read the other entries and suspect it was the Security Magazine. I told them a couple times now that I am no longer in the Security business, to stop the magazine. This is a free magazine so I suspect they need  to keep there numbers up. I still receive the magazine and still get the phone calls.

Junk call.  They ask for the VP and I just put them on hold until they hang up. They call every week, sometimes several times a day.  They want to verify information, which they could easily do online with a search engine.  BS is right.

You're 100% correct. Like you, I receive several trade mags & I tell them I renew thru the publisher,  not thru scumbag calling services. Does no more good than blocking their cloned numbers. Several reports to the FTC explaining that, does no good either, but I'm going to keep trying.

Called today (4/13/2016) - no voicemail

Woman called in and couldnt understand her-  asked her to repeat the name of the person she was wanting to speak with -  Became very RUDE and barked the spelling of the last name...looked up the number and she is trying to sale magazine subscript -  transferred her sweetness to the 1 888 382 1222 - recording of DO NOT CALL anymore!

Free subscription to Medical Design Magazine?  Huh?

Called a few minutes ago. Said it's from Medical center and wanted to give me some free prescriptions. I told that woman I don't need that and hung up.
