    Scammer!  You call back the number and they give you the option to select "2" to remove your phone number from their list; however, you get a call from what appears to be the same company, different area code, etc., with the same options when you call back.  Just block 'em

    800notes is not calling you and it is very unlikely your caller is monitoring this forum. You will need to make your request directly to the caller.  Even if they were monitoring they would not know which number to remove since they almost certainly do not have their calling list indexed by name. It would also be a terrible idea to post your real number on a open forum for anyone who wanders in here to see so it is good that you did not post it.

    I received a call while I was emailing something important, fortunately,  I rejected it & completed my email.  Afterwards I called back - they give an option to leave a message, ask to be removed, or speak to a live person.  I wanted to speak to someone, but that option sent me to their voice mail box.  There is no company name mentioned when the call is electronically answered.  This is a group on an information fishing expedition.   Block them, & reject their calls.

    These scammers are overseas and they use jump numbers that look like they're calling from within the US. So pleading with these guys is like negotiating with the Taliban. They also use these numbers;
    (281) 825-4339
    (240) 538-4399
    (814) 758-4635
    (775) 210-0454
    (208) 451-2916
    (317) 401-8257
    So thinking the "Do not call list" is going to help, remember these guys are scammers.

    "Eileen" claims I have been "pre-selected for a USDA home loan".....really??? They want me to live in a barn!!!! USDA is the United States Department of Agriculture. To be eligible, you must be purchasing a property in a rural area as defined by the USDA. Last time I checked there were no farms or barns in the middle of a major metropolitan city!!

    Thanks for the informative post (instead of telling them to STOP CALLING!).  Never heard of this scam before.  They just called my cell phone and I ignored it so without your input I wouldn't have known!

    Just plain irritated
    I had to finally block all but 20 people from my home phone due to the overwhelming number of these type calls.  I tried everything and I do mean everything,...blocking their numbers didn't work they just called from a different number, returning their calls requesting they take me off didn't work, ignoring their calls (which is what I did however, sometimes 40+ calls becomes so upsetting...because in between their calls I had calls from my real friends/family) and they don't adhere to times they can call either...7:00am to 2:00 am ! The do  not call list is a joke. And of course AT&T are unable to do anything...which I complained that it is their equipment and they can't (or won't bother) do anything that means these dumb telemarketers are smarter than them!  And so I did the 20 numbers block.  Peace of mind  for a few years ... now I see they have my cell number ..great!

    Actually if you did answer the phone or tell the caller not to call back, it is very likely you would worsen the situation.  Many calls are purely to look for active phone numbers.   Once they know someone owns the phone number your number is sold to telemarketers as an active phone number.   Then the calls truly begin.

    Call from 317-401-8257  claiming to have some pain relief gel covered by medicare.  I asked how they got my phone number and she said it was in our database.   This a sure way to trick someone if you give your  social security number to them thinking it is going to medicare that would for sure open up a real can of worms  for some one falling for this scam.

    When I get take market calls or any unwanted business calls I bait them and draw them in by answering  or asking a a few questions as if I'm dimwitted potenial prospect and then I unleash my teenage, never ending outpour of endless words and run on sentences, without taking a breath, you cant get an word in edgewise, continuous  babble of  he said-she said ,  UNTILL the person on the other end attempts to politely cut in but cant since I don't even break to breath, with my 65mph jibber jabber and all they can say is  ye...bu.....if.., I..... .don .... yo.....bu......oh....uh...wai....Sur...CLICK.

    IDK who this was, but I got a call today and I answered it...it was a computer voice that introduced itself as "Eileen"--so I hung up.

    The call did not go through to a person right away. Then the person identified themselves as Eileen. I asked where she was from and she said this is Eileen Mills. She said I had been approved for an FDA cream that was approved for pain and migraines. I said I do not have these conditions and I am not interested. She still continued to try to convince me. I told her to put me on the "Do not call list" and she continued to try to convince me to purchase this product. I laughed and then she said she would put me on the "don't call" list and hung up.
