Called 5 times in 7 days always hangs up when answering machine starts to call. Caller ID only shows in and the number. Have tried to call number line goes dead instead of ringing, must be some sort of outbound only call center.

This number has called me everyday for 2 weeks straight I have answered it and nobody is on the other end. They do not leave a message on my voice mail either.

This number has called my house everyday for 2 weeks and sometimes twice a day.  When we don't answer and the answering machine picks up, they hang up.  This is getting pretty annoying.  Either stop calling or leave a message on why you are calling.  Thank you.

Why do you think WE are calling you?

This is a discussion forum where one can report or describe suspicious or unknown phone calls, but reporting them here does not stop the calling.  YOU have to take action to do that!  (google is your friend).  Consider buying a call blocker from your favorite store if nothing else works.

It is a call center collecting on behalf of the Indiana FOP (fraternal order of police).  A lot of telemarketing boiler rooms have turned to so-called charity collections since the initiation of the DNC list.  There have been many news stories about these telemarketers turned "charity" collectors and they are not flattering.  If you wish to donate to a charity, the best thing (in my opinion) is to contact that agency directly (phone, email, snail mail).  Personally, I never give to a charity via these telemarketing firms because the charity gets less than 5% of the collected funds.  The rest pay minimum wage to the callers and exorbitant salaries to the owners.  Anyway, that should answer the question of who is the caller.

I got the same number twice a day for a week.  Then they stopped calling and another number 317-300-7017 started calling. Same as everyone else, no message and won't answer.  Telemarketing at its best.
Must be surveying what time you are home and selling that info.  Both of the numbers are blocked now, so I figure they'll use another number shortly.
