I received a call today from this number and they said they are Xlibris Publishing, a legit online book publishing company, NOT Publisher's Clearing House, the sweepstakes company. ALTHOUGH, I'D LOVE TO GET A CALL FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES CO, PCH! LOL.

Yes, if you respond to an their ad you will be called for years to come, by different agents. I've told them I'm not interested now I just don't answer. I think they recruit phone solicitors then give them numbers to call but never clean up their call list.

Yep. I published a book through them and am now called constantly by my "new" consultant despite asking for my file to be marked Do Not Call. Painful.

Some guy called my daughter and wanted to get a credit card number so he could publish some poems he saw online 3 years ago. Offered her a 'one time deal to publish 7 poems for $600.00, but he would take $200.00 off if she would buy now. When she hesitated, he said he could take her credit card number and not process it until she said so. He knew her age (minor) and asked what state she lived in (which he knew because he called her) and knew she attending school outside of her hometown. He also knew how many hours away her school was from her hometown and her nickname. He said he would call back which he did, but we blocked the number. This guy is up to no good, whether it is stealing or stalking or worse. I wonder how many calls are to underage females. My daughter had never published anything on this publishing site. He just found her via social media and came after her. Be warned and beware.

They do call excessively even after I state that I prefer to communicate through email.  I hate talking on the phone to ppl I don't know.

I've talked to 3-7 ppl from Xlibris.  If you're interested in them go to their website.  There packages do cost, but you're able to pay over a several month period.  I like them.  They just call too much.

I got the same call but, for a book I wanted to publish. He even wanted to speak to my 2 year old daughter and was in awe that "I had such a beautiful voice." This guy is really creepy and I think it's more of a scam than anything. The moment I told him I wouldn't be able to pay today because I don't have the credit card, he ended the call. He also offered me the same discount. People, please be careful!

Just called and wanted to talk with my son about a book he wants to publish!  It as some lady with a  foreign Asian accent.  She was very persistent about when she could find my son at home.  This is a scam!  My son is not a writer and is not writing a book.

Xlibis sounds like a decent co. They asked if they could publish my book. What were the results for your book?

Been calling me for years and years after I (mistakenly) requested information about their publishing packages. Xlibris and Author Solutions (which are all owned by the same people) are being sued for fraud which is no surprise. Completely ignore your requests to stop contacting you. You would think after eight years they'd get the hint I don't want anything to do with them!

    Um...
You should think, after eight years, YOU would get the hint to obtain a call blocker!
