It appeared on my wife's cell log.

The person, an older sounding male and using a disguised voice, left a message on my voice mail saying he was coming over and going to blow up my house, kill my pets and get me. The number that showed up was 317-948-9899. The call was made August 2 at 6 am.
Caller ID: 317-948-9899. It is a scary call to listen to.

some female called saying dr. cound not understand name  needs to speak to my wife  left phone #3179489899 .

The number belongs to IU Health/Medicine.

It came across as a fax number

Its IU Health. No one's calling you from YOUR DOCTOR'S OFFICE to threaten you... get a life.

This also came through as a fax noise for me.

It is IU Health. However they should allow calls back to the same telephone number from which they call from.

Then why are you here? You already know who called you so logically you would have no reason to look up the phone number.

This is from IU Health Systems in Indianapolis.  If you try to return the call, you get a recording saying it is a switchboard system intended to protect the privacy of the IU person call (could be Doc, nurse, patient).  If they dont leave a message there is no way to find out who is calling.  The CID shows only "Indiana call".  It is a very poor set up typical of IU Health Systems lack of customer service.
