- Caller: premier credit
- Call type: Debt collector
- GeorgeUnknown caller never left a message. It may be by someone monitoring my credit report since I just renewed the fraud alerts. In checking the annual credit reports still available online after a past stolen identity problem I don't show any debt so there's good reason not to take calls from this number.
- PamCalled twice within three minutes. No message left. Company in caller ID says Premiere Credit. Am not familiar with this number or company.
- JeannieNo message. Have called a couple days in a row now.
- Melasked for the person responsible for collecting sales taxes for a certain business

- A| 1 replyJust called my cell phone and asked for my husband by name. I told him it was my phone and husband is at work. He wanted to leave a call back number and I asked what the call was in regards to. "Tax purposes." Okay?? I asked if I could get more information because "tax purposes" didn't really answer my question about what the call was for. He then said there was a woman's name along with my husband's name and those were the only two people that he could speak with regarding the "tax purposes". The wife's name he gave was not me so I asked if there was more information on my husband's name. He told me the middle initial (which was incorrect for my husband). I said it was not him and that was the end of the call. Do not give this person/people any information without asking lots of questions first. I got a bad feeling when he very matter-of-factly said "tax purposes" without going into any other detail.

In any event,
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand.- Caller: Informational post
- Alisa replies to AIf you get a call from this number block it! It's a scam caller attempting to convince you to give your private information to steal from you!!!!
- JCCalls landline but never leaves a message. I feel if call is legitimate they will leave a message. Reading through, it's hard to say if they're legitimate or not, but not having any bad debts in a collection stage, kind of leaning towards not being legitimate.
- Caller: "Premiere Credit"
- ChadCalled cell and didn't leave message
