I started getting calls from this and a toll free number: 800-483-8314.

the call from 317-974-0683 came in in Spanish indicating that an inmate at Marion County Jail 2 was attempting to make a free call. after 2 attempts that I ignored from this number then the toll free call came in. It was asking me to call the toll free number or go to some website to make a deposit to take the call.

No thanks.

Same thing happen to me today. Said a 2 minute free call from a women named Heather Childs was calling from Marion County Jail.

This is from the Marion County Correctional Facility, according to the voicemail it left. It was wanting me to set up an account to pay for and receive a call. I don't know anyone there, so I'm assuming this is fraud.

Got same call.  Called twice.

Just make it stop! They are calling 4-5 a day.

an inmate from the marion county jail called 1/4/2016 of course i hung up & an hour later an 800 number called me. I didn't answer. 317 974 0683 & 800 483 8314

Someone just called me from that same number just now.? Said they were in the Marion County jail. I however did almost answer because my ex has been in and out of jail many times. BUT WHEN THEY TELL YOU ITS FREE. ITS NOT LEGIT!!!! YEA RIGHT. DO NOT ACCEPT!! THIS WAS SOME ONE NAMED CHRIS? N SPEAKS ENGLISH AS WELL!

I received 3 of these messages in a row from someone named Mike. I do not know a Mike or anyone in Marion Co lock up. I never answered

I got the call from the same number but it was free and he knew my name

They called my mom and said this is a collect call from Marion County Jail, and then proceeded to tell her how much it would cost for the first minute, and they used the last name of Wright.

Scam phone calls supposed to be free calls from someone in Marion County jail.

Got 2 missed call the 317-975-0683 and then the 1-800 # as well and I don't know anyone locked up. My opinion I believe sometimes the person in jail doesn't remember numbers to we'll because with cell phone technology no one tries to remember numbers anymore. I think they sometimes just try the numbers they think that might be the person they want to call and just calling wrong numbers

I've gotten this same message four times in the last week. This is ridiculous.

For the past 3 days I have been receiving calls from this number and when its time for the person from "jail" to say their name they say it so low and mumbled I can't make it out, and then says its a free 2 minute phone call. I know calls from any jail are not free at all. I just hang up. Its starting to get ridiculous though, because they have called once a day for 3 days. Got to find a way to block it.

I got a call last night from 317-974-0683, from the Marion County Correctional Facility as well.  I do not have any relatives in the area that weren't with me at the time of the call, and I personally believe, if you end up there, you stay there until you get out.  Not bailing out anyone.  As Beretta said, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

After reading these comments I will not be answering my phone! 3 times they have called today. They are purposely not saying there name correct, so that you could think it's someone known. They want you to set up a account... SCAM!!
