This is a collection company-- http://www.cbegroup.com/-- My DirectTV account went to them for collections.

I receive calls from this number on my cell phone at least twice daily from these people and I have my phone registered on the "Do Not Call" list.

calls at the crack of dawn- repeatedly during day-up to bed time

these people say i owe alot of money but they won't say what for.

These people call me constantly. When I finally called back the man was very nasty to me asking, "What do u want." When I hung up on him, I have been receiving calls at least 6 times a day in half hour intervals. He never identified himself. Comes up on my cell phone as Iowa. Don't know why this started happening but I sure wish it would stop! What now?!?

These people call us constantly everyday more than one time a day. We don't call them back because they can be and was very nasty to us. When we tell them we will be making a payment at the beginning of the next month they state they we be calling every day we fill that this is wrong. Also found out that it is call harassment and they should not be calling all the time. We also been receiving calls at least 6 times a day in half hour intervals.

I got a call tonight from this group. Howver they wouldn't tell me the name of the company or what is was regarding. I *69'd the call and got this number. They were trying to verify my information and would I wouldn't she got ticked at me. I think the BBB should get involved with this group.

It's a collector.  They never leave a message, so I'll just pay my bills and they'd better stop.

I receive repeated calls every day from this number.  No one EVER responds or ever has.  We have NO account in collections whatsoever.

I just looked up this number in phone reverse directory.  IT IS NOT a collection company.  Do not give out personal information whatsoever.  It is a phising number.  According to the directory, it's a residential number and the name is available to purchase (which I will not do).  However, I do know that it would not be a residential number if it was a legit collections company

direct tv, which is the worst satelite service in the world, is behind this listing. I clearly see they are due a phone call from our atty. forget trying to reason with them, the are total idiots! without a cause, without a clue, without any idea of why they're even bothering people at all hours of the day and or night.

They call me also, they never will tell me what the call is about. just that they have a "personal matter" to discuss with. But until I confirm that it is indeed me, they will not give any info. So I just tell them I have a bad signal, and just hang.

In many states it is illegal for collection companies to "harrass" anyone.
If you can show consistant calls from the same number you can turn them in to your states attorney generals office. I live in Michigan and it is newer thing, but it may help stop these morons.

Called by number 319-274-1904 which of course was "identified" as Unknown Caller. I called them back and said they were the CBE Group. Gave them my last name as they needed a name to look up an account, as apparently the group is involved in many areas, one of which is collections. They didn't even have the right first name!! They said they probably just called and got the wrong number which they continue to do consistently. Next time, I will be reporting them. They say they are not telemarketers when I told them to put my name on the "Do Not Call" List

FYI START COMPLAINING TO QWEST.

These are scam calls trying to rack up mins to abuse the small exchange rules that allow small rural exchanges to charge the large phone company's large fees for using there networks.

The same can be said for just about every call originating from Iowa's rural area codes.

These guys are also trying get personal info for identity theft.

Wife recvd a call from this 319-274-1904 and was asked if it was her and attempted to verify info such as address and etc..
I called back and was told this CBE Group and gave her cel phone number and was then told they don't have that number in their system and was probably a wrong number. Wasn't told any info about the company by the rep, so I just hung up and I ended up on this blog.

Got a called saying I owe Direct Tv money. I had the service disconnected since i moved to a new location. The company says they have kept service going at the old location which is now owned by other people and they are charging me for services that other people are watching.
They refuse to disconnect service at old location and continues to add on fees to me. Direct Tv is the worst service to ever have. And this collection company are harrassers.

I dont know why they are calling me, I dont have Directv or even cable, I cant afford either one. Im never home to watch tv either. Its companies like this that make you wonder if its just another identity theft scam.

The DO NOT CALL LIST doesn't have any bearing on collections.  I found that out after about 30 seconds worth of research on the net.

Have you tried politely asking them to stop calling you?  Do you even answer the phone when they call?
