Irs scam they are at it again

Claims to be from IRS. pure sam

I got this message that if i dont call, they will issue an arrest and pick me up....

Must be a scam.  Message says that they we are guilty of tax evasion and will be arrested and prosecuted.  They left their number...

Another irs scam

the internal revenue service that I am being charged with tax evasion

Said I would update have a warrant by the end of the day if I didn't call them back called them and no one answered

If you were being charged with tax evasion it would be handled by the Department of Justice, and you'd have a paper trail of documentation in your possession.

Federal crimes prosecutions are started by indictment by a federal grand jury.  If you were the target of a federal grand jury, you'd be well aware of it by written correspondence and personal interviews by members of law enforcement.

And notification would NOT be by a cold call.

Total scam.  Ignore and block these numbers.

Never return these calls.  Calls originate in India and Pakistan and callers are abusive when they find out their scams are not working.

Recorded message calling Canada to say tax evasion from the US - ridiculous. SCAM SCAM SCAM warn any seniors that might fall for this.

After reading the above I decided not to call them back so I have nothing to add.  Seems like CWG40 has the best answer.

They call me too and they said that I will be arrested but I don't know I call them but they don't answer

Claims to be from I.R.S. about fraud and to call the number to avoid prosecution.  I wonder what would happen if I called it -- maybe I would have to give credit card number.  Problem is, we have no business or residence in the U.S.A. so how would I.R.S. get involved?  Note to CWG40: If these calls are really from India or Pakistan, they are finally getting non-South-Asian accents perfected.   This lady sounded very American to me.  Anyway, a South Asian accent doesn't mean a thing, as the scam could originate in U.S., Canada, U.K., etc.  South Asian accents are heard all over the world.   Just another Scam, folks.  Ignore.

These losers call my house 3 times everyday and now they've started to even call my personal cell phone. Hope they get caught and thrown in prison for life. SCAM!

Left message to call them about tax fraud and if I didn't call I would be arrested. Scam for sure.
