- Deen**He first called me from 1-800-672-7034 then he returned a call to me from 321028200600. They are the same people. BEWARE!!!!!! I have spoke to him a few times. He left a voice mail on my home phone, he called me, I called him, he called me back and we spoke, then I called again, and we spoke. My question, where or how did he get my info?
I rec'd the same call yesterday introduced himself as Courtney Lister and he is with Resort Equity Marketing, and someone is interested in buying my resort. Long story short, he called me again today and I returned his call. A female answered and laughed (probably thinking sucker) and she pout Courtney Lister on the phone. I asked him what do I need to do. He said pay the upfront fee of $699.00 which is "of course 100% refundable" yeah right I was thinking to myself. He continued and "IF" we find a buyer or renter. I thought "IF", he just told me he had a buyer. So I then I called the corporate office of the place which I bought my resort from. They have never heard of this company or person. It is mostly likely a scam they said. I gave them the info I had on this Lister person. Not only does he call you by phone, they also solict through the mail. The Bureau Consumer Affairs is the office that you should report this to. Oh and don't let his beautiful website fool you. The only ones that will fools are those that give up their personal information. - Westgate owner| 1 replyThis guy name "David Monte" called me that I could rent my westgate timeshare for $3500 a week and he told me I have two weeks when in fact my timeshare isn't even ready to be used. He said he guarantees $7000 for the fee of $1299 right now and I said I'll find more about the company and asked his company information. He told me to check Rem2Sell.com. Then he called me 2nd time asking me if I'm ready to make a move. I said not really and he said "Do you wanna let this opportunity go by?" and sounded upset. I don't know what this is really, but sure sounds like a scam to me. Don't EVER give your personal/credit information over the phone. They are mostly scammer unless you're talking to a major credit card company.
- grandview owner replies to Westgate ownerWe got a call from "Bill Richards" the voice mail said call me back if you are interested in renting or selling your timeshare. We called him, he went over a long deal and said he could get corporate people to rent our timeshare for 2300.00 a week all we needed to do was pay 1299 up front. We told him we would not give him any money tonight and to send the contracts and we would look them over. He responded with an upset tone and said they don't send contracts to people who don't have the money. I told him he wasn't getting any money from us without the contract for us to take to a laywer, he got angry now and said : thanks for wasting my time" and hung up! Shady deal if you ask me!
- Bluegreen Owner| 1 replyI got a call from Bradley with REM yesterday afternoon asking if I might be interested in selling my timeshare or renting out my points. He asked me how many points we had and seemed shocked when I told him the amount. He said 13,000 points was a lot and that we could probably sell our timeshare from anywhere between 35-40K. He then asked me what we bought it for and I just said I didn't know. The funny part of the conversation was when he asked if he could speak with my husband, I guess he assumed I couldn't make any decisions. I said he needed to call back the next day in order to speak with both of us as I was at work and on my cell phone. Before we got off the phone I got his information though. He said his name was Bradley and I could call him at 1-800-672-7034, ext. 324. He also said I could check out rem2sell.com for more information. I spoke with my husband about the offer and he looked further into this morning, he found this site and informed me it was a scam. Of course. We are now looking into donating our timeshare to charity and getting a tax write-off for it. We're tired of the maintenance fees going up. There are many legit charities out there that will take a timeshare donation, you just have to do your research.

- Tracy| 1 replyI have been called everynight for the past 2 weeks from a guy called Ben wanting to buy my timeshare, its bordering on harassment now!
There is no way I was going to pay the £699 he was requesting for marketing the proprerty.
He told me to look on the rem2sell website to verify the guarantee he offers, to sell the timeshare within 180 days, and I am glad I did otherwise I wouldnt have found this thread.
The telephone number Ben left is 001-407-830-1358.
He insiste that there are lots of corporate companies just dying to get their hands on my week in Florida and he can guarantee to make the sell within the 180 days.
I didnt even tell anyone I wanted to sell my timeshare and I dont know where he got my details from.
Basically if it sounds too good to be true it is too good to be true.
Thanks for the heads up on this guys, I am in the UK and wouldnt have had a clue about the scam. Keep up the good work

- ChadThey left a message about renting/selling unused timeshare points. Since we do have some we'll loose if we don't use I called them back to get the story. $2,500/week in my pockets seemed very good. Almost too good. Then they hit me with a $1,299 one-time fee that covers the "legal" expenses and I'd never have to pay it again. Told them I'd get back to them since I had to discuss it with my wife first. After looking at some consumer complaint sites my wife came accross the link for the BBB for this company:

- Pat| 1 replyA guy called me and asked if I would be interested in selling for a larger profit, and/or rent my weeks out for Large profits again. He asked if I was interested. I asked who it was and he said with the resort. I asked him to call me back in 10 minutes. I then googled the 321-282-0600, then I called the # back and it was REM. They said no way knowing who called me. Then would not take my call. No return call as of yet after an hour.

- missdeeCall from "Dylan" said he could sell my timeshare for $20,000 or more,he said to check out rem2sell.com. He has called many times, I said I would be in the area so I set up a meeting at his office in Altamonte Springs FL. I then found this website which verified my feelings that this was a scam...I did not show up for the meeting and I did not answer his calls the next day.I haven't heard from him since.
- Donald replies to Time Share Inc. is this a scam???| 12 repliesI'm glad I googled this Resort Equity Marketing REM2SELL. The guy "Eric I spoke with was very ill prepared to answer my questions witch in turn through up a red flag for me. Different caller ID though: 619-444-9300 and 1-888-921-8733. I fell prey to these clowns once before (different company)but same pitch. If you are interested in selling your time share try contacting Seria resorts.com Just be CAREFUL with TELEPHONE SOLISITORS.
- Ken KI got a phone call from Penelope at Resort Equity Marketing (REM2SELL.com) offering to sell my 3 timeshares for an incredible profit since they sell to corporate travel departments. I only have to pay an upfront "marketing fee" of $1399 per property. I was told I would soon start receiving offers and "not to take the first offer" but to hold out for more money. Certainly sounds too good to be true. Does anyone know of situations where REM2SELL ever made a sale?

REM has 50,000 members and offers a money back guarantee. What more could you want. You can't sell it if it isn't listed.!!!!!!!!
I think they did a good job for me.
STAN - albertini| 2 repliesReceived a call from 321-282-0600 Caller Id "Resort Equities M".
My husband answered the call, and just as all of the above mentioned, the gentleman also was named "Bill Richards" and said he would pay us 20-22,000 (which was very close to what we paid a few years ago) for our Cocoa Beach Resort Timeshare or he would pay us $2500-3000 to rent it out for this year. No fee was discussed, however, Mr. Richards had no clue which timeshare unit we owned and was surprised when we told him it was a penthouse unit. this was VERY SUSPICIOUS! After reading all about this scam company on this board and the BBB board, I called back and asked them how we were getting our phone numbers, being that we were on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. The switchboard operator said, she would add our number to "THEIR" do not call list. When I asked for their president's name, she said 'Jessy Winnick"... and when I asked her to spell his last name, she did not know how to spell it and she, was the JUST the 'switchboard' operator.
Sending off complaint to DONOTCALL group! thanks for keeping us updated on this company and these scrutinizing scam calls.- Caller: RESORT EQUITY MARKETING

- GOULA GIRLWe also received a call about selling or renting our timeshare in Gatlinburg, TN for a large profit. Since we only used it once and I never wanted my spouse to buy it in the first place, I thought great, but was wondering how they got my number. He said from the resort so I thought maybe they just trying to free up more units for resell. He called back numerous times and needed the listing fees monies of 899.00 very soon. I checked their web site and called back all seemed fine and a money back guarantee if unit not sold in 180 days!!!! Yeah right it has been since March 2008 now Dec 2008 and not one call other than the idiots calling my spouse back trying to resell him the listing option again. I thought it was for a sell and called back and figured out it was the stupid people trying to sell the 899.00 marketing option again---gave them a piece of my mind!!!! They are only scammers, the money back was not money but a cheap old TV type shopping spree that I would pay the shipping on and the web site only showed about 15 items all cheap, cheap, cheap and then the web site never pulled up again (they said they were having web problems- right for 2-3 months). I threw the shopping spree in the trash can---I have to call every few months to renew my listing since it did not sell in the 180 days or they will not continue to list it---they promised it would sell in 90 days 180 at the most to a large corporation---the price of our unit has been reduced 2 times and still no calls I am sure they are never going to sell it---I just wished I had never bought the timeshare in the first place and never, never never dealt with resort equity marketing they stink and are just telemarketing scammers.
