National Car Warranty, recorded message saying that my car's warranty is about to expire but doesnt specify for what kind of car I have and who it is, I know my warranty is not expired. It then gives me an option to talk to someone, or an option for the message not to call anymore, both are push button activations. If you push either, it disconnects the call.
    Caller ID: Nothing.
    Caller: National Warranty Service?

The DNC(Do Not Call) list is just another smoke & mirrors, useless law from our corrupt elected officials. Maybe everyone should forward their phones for a day to their state and federal representatives. Maybe something would get done then! The prosecution rate of violators by state & federal authorities, which is less then 1% of the complaints, is just additional proof of the scam played on the people.

Gee from your name I see that you are open to all points of view and have not already made up your mind.  Your post reminds me that there are worse things than the 'warranty salesman' who cursed at me and threatened me on the phone.

These people keep calling no matter how many times you ask them to stop. Nobody wants telemarketing calls, so why not ban them entirely? Those career politicians are all bought and paid for by the Direct Marketing Association, that's why. The DO NOT CALL registry is a total fraud upon the public; it was never intended to be enforced. The Republicans & Democrats are just mocking your intelligence by pretending they care about your property rights. If you voted for them, you deserve these harassing phone calls.

Got a call from this number just now.  Pressed '1' to speak to a person, and then when I asked who they were, they hung up on me.  I called back but somehow I get a message saying disconnected.  You know, I'd like to know who they are, but of course on the web you have to give someone $15 or so to really find out any useful information.  I think what I'm going to do is keep a whistle by the phone...that ought to do it. PS for me, this wasn't about car warranties - they said would I liek to get a lower rate on my current credit card...some BS like that.

Just got the call.  Pressed one to speak with someone.  They asked the make and model of my car, I asked to removed from their call list and was hung up on.  Called the number back immediately and got the recording that the line was disconnected?  How is this possible when it just showed up on the caller id?

These are spoofed phone numbers. There are services available on the web so a caller can make the called ID show anything the caller wants.
As for the do not call list, many calls are now made from offshore so the law really does not apply to them. I have gotten several calls recently from London.

Actually, the DNC and FCC laws cover any call made to a U.S. number. Even from offshore. Checl donotcall.gov, it explains it all.

The next time you get a call from these scammers, ask them why they need the make and model, because if they know the warranty's expiring, they should already know everything about the vehicle.

I looked up National Auto Warrenty on the web. I found a message from another website with a simolar name giving this # to contact the offending business. 1-800-649-1856
Their office hours are 9-5 central.
Lets FLOOD them with calls and complaints....Maybe they'll knock it off. If that doesn't work I suggest we contact the Missori state officials

Car warranty is about to expire.  I have one with Honda.  Hit the button to talk to someone and take me off the list.  It rang for a minute before I had to hang up.

I got the call AGAIN today. This time I played along so as to get as much info as I could. I hit the no call back option in the past and have verbally told them to stop calling in the past and it does not work. I am on the national do not call list also but that doesnt seem to work either.
They are flat out lying. They said that they were part of the company that I previously had and that was a flat out lie because I checked with them.
My previous extended warranty through Car Max was a great deal and they took care of everything without balking. They told me that this company is a scam and to stay away and that they do not offer an extension to their warranties.
      BEWARE!
