Been receiving phone calls for last two weeks.  Caller always has a thick accent from India.  Caller claims that my wife's loan application has been approved.  When asked who his employer is, he says there is no company, and that he is from the Auto Loan Network.   We had the call traced through our local phone company.  We contacted local law enforcement, who agrees that this is an identity theft scam.   Do NOT give the caller ANY information, and contact your local law enforcement.

Been receiving a large number of calls on my cell phone over the last couple of days.  Cannot call the number back - says it is invalid.  When I answered the first time however, they hung up - so I do not answer any more, but still have received about 15 calls per day from this number.  I have also reported it to my wireless company and the national law enforcement who are investigating.

I just called my Cell Phone Carrier and they blocked the number from ever calling me again.

Received second phone call claiming to be from "Auto Loan Network" at 4:45 p.m. today this time from 646-888-8000.   We've been receiving calls from this individual for the last two weeks claiming that he wants to "verify" personal information for my wife's loan application.   The trouble is, she didn't apply for a loan anywhere.   Law enforcement has been contacted, and they agree that this is an identity theft attempt.

I received calls from this same group for 3 days for a loan for my wife. Again, it was a man with a heavy Indian accent that said he was calling for "Auto Loan Network". I told him to discontinue any activity under my wife's name because this was clearly an attempt of identity theft and that the police have already been contacted. To my amazement, he became silent for a moment then began cursing at me. He repetedly called me a mother f***er, and told me to go ahead and call the police. He called back after I hung up on him and insulted my wife as well. THE JIG WAS UP AND HE KNEW IT !!! They have not called back since. These are 322 area code numbers they are using coming from somewhere in Mexico.  My advice is to just tell them that you will be contacting the police and see how quickly they will leave you alone.

I received a call from these guys, probably for the 10th time on the same day. I was really anoyed and asked him to remove my number from the system and stop calling me. This guy immdiately became rude and started yelling at me. He also threatened me that he has my SSN# and all the inforamtion about me and he is capable of leaking these info on the public sites.

This is getting out of control. In US is there any system that would protect us from these guys.
