I received the same message as Sherri did today George Harris from J D Law office you have a lawsuit complaint filed against you with your name and social security number attached to it for case details and how to resolve ca us back ASAP as this is a time sensitive he also gave me the case number before it is downloaded have a blessed day!!!

Sounded recorded no name or firm given but everything else sounds like above. And no blessed day either! I get these periodically and they are scam artists is what I have been lead to beleive. Will they get a call back - no!

Just called them back as soon as I said no I will not give my lawyers info till ypu inform me about the case he hung up. I called back and told them I knew it was a scam since he called me by a nickname that is no where close to my real name and last name was my maiden name. What a joke. You van hear people in the back ground pushing the same scam

I got a call as well. They said I would be served by 12 pm today at my place of business.  Scary thing is, they say they have your social security number.  do you think that is true?  How do they get your information anyway?  When I asked about the law suit, they said I should have been briefed about it. and was surprised when I said I wasn't.  That was very upsetting to them.  They do realize that a person cannot call another person and say "you are being sued"?  Still, someone that is in trouble with payments and debt may actually fall for this.  

Yes they called me 2 times and claimed they had a sheriff coming out when asked what it was concerning they came up with an amount that I owed to someone the scary thing was they new the address

I got the same type of call a few minutes ago. Same thing that everyone else has heard.

On my caller ID the # 202-666-3040 appears, I did not answer but they left the message about the suit and to call them back at the 323-244-2927 number. I Google both numbers, found nothing about the 202 number except it is in Washington DC. But the 323 number had a lot written about it, and it is a California number. Why does an east coast number appear on caller ID?

Kept saying I owed him $1267.00 but would never say what it was for. I paid him $1200.00 now he is calling back saying I owe him more money for fees

I just looked up j law firm it comes up Montana so tired of treating calls

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

These people have called me several times..I find that the best thing to do is let them know that you know that what they are doing in a scam.and that you have looked into the office and they are not legitimate. They get really pissed of and hang up

I received a call and they left a message saying that I had a suit against me and that I should call without delay because the information is time sensative.. yeah right.. had the same thing happen last year.. am the wiser now. Said his name was George harris..

There was a guy named George Harris saying there was a lawsuit against my name with my social security number. I called them back and he wanted $1200+ in 2-3 hours to avoid any legal action against me. They said they've sent emails to an account that I haven't had in a couple years. Kept mentioning debt without naming any companies. The guy the hard to understand because he spoke broken English. I am wondering if I should be worried or if this is a scam?

I recieved a call today from an Asian  sounding  man who said.that he was calling from an attorneys  office and said that I was being sued and that he needed  all of my personal information  for the case.  I laughed  at  him and  said I am NOT being  sued  and they will not  get any of my personal INFORMATION.  THESE PEOPLE ARE THE ONES THAT MAKE HONEST PEOPLE  NOT WANT TO ANSWER THEIR PHONE UNLESS THEY KNOW THE PHONE NUMBER!!!!!!!+

 Never send money to anyone unless you know  them and  indeed  owe them money.  Make a report with your local police  department  quickly!
