Robo call with spoofed number that is silent online for about 2 seconds, and then female voice "goodbye."  I have received two calls today, and several over past three days.

Dialed number and states number not in service and has been disconnected.

There is a carpet company that had this same number, but not certain it is the same company.

This # calls at least twice a day with a beep and a goodbye:

Every morning in the 9am range this number calls me.  Caller ID says Los Angeles.  I've blocked the number and now my phone just rings once.  There is a special place in the afterlife for telemarketers, and robos.

Called this morning at 6:37am!  Are you kidding me?  

Called saying They are from Microsoft and there's something wrong with my computer! They just want to hack your computer and get all your info! Do not give them any info! It's a fraud. They give American names but they are from India and Pakistan!

I get 2-3 calls a day but no message only a "goodbye".

I am getting calls several times a day on both of my phones just as described above:

They just called me in Northern Cal at 12:40AM. Woke up my wife! this is nuts.
Message said 'goodbye' then hung up.  This seems criminal.

Same!  Multiple calls per day. I usually don't answer as I now recognize the number, but when I do there is silence followed by the computerized voice saying "good bye."  My worry is if harm can be done when I do pick up the call.  Anyone know?

Once you pick it up they now know it's a valid # and will sell it off as such to 100s of other scammers

These [***] should be banned from owning a phone. Just like a computer hacker is banned from using a computer after being convicted. Our government needs to step up and take action instead of taking our tax money to sponsor the Federal Trade Commission that has there heads up there [***].

Same! 6-6:30 in morning and throughout the day for a week or two now! Call back and it says number is disconnected. The silence and then the female computer automated voice recording that says Goodbye. I'm reporting it.

Calls all the damn time.  This morning at 6:37am.  

The scumbags called again with same m.o. -- spoofed number so call blockers won't work; silence when answered; female voice "goodbye." They have been calling about two times per day for the past 10 days. Would like to be able to tell them to stop (even though will be ignored) but have not had the opportunity.

Note robo call is a separate violation and you do not need to be on the do not calll list. In addition, use of phony number is also a separate violation.

Finally got something more than the goodbye and dead air.  Spoofed caller id so that call blocker did not work.

Indian accented woman claimed to be Nancy from Cybersecurity regarding a problem with the computer.  Told her she was a liar and a scumbag. This precipitated a response, "how could you say that." Told her she was a liar and a scumbag. She kept talking about a computer problem. I told her to remove me from their list.  I said the problem you have is whether, when you are caught, will your boss serve your time and pay the penalty?  At this point, she hung up.

The bottom line from these people is that they will say and do anything to make you think they are legitimate. They are not. Do not believe anything they say about your computer -- they are just trying to get your personal information.

I have got several calls from this number  some camel jock sounding guy  that says my computer is hacked and I said no it is not but you are trying to do that.  He has called back he is from Microsoft on and on  He repeated a IP number but I do not know if it is and said my id Microsoft and it was all numbers.   Do not give any infor out I did not.

Called me at 6:45AM, woke me up.  Normally I don't answer when I don't recognize the number but I have family in LA and the caller ID showed Los Angeles and due to the early hour, I was afraid this was an emergency call.  Boy was I wrong.  A man with an Indian accent started talking, I cut him off and shouted at him, "Are you another Telemarketer!  It's 6:45 in the morning for God's sake," then hung up on him.  So frustrating!
