Used to get this call from a different number, Left a voice mail saying that they are my "local" ink and toner supplier (I'm in Colorado, this number is from California...guess they want that to be considered local????..)

Offering a "free" Apple iPad with my order). Same crap as any other scammer. Don't know what you'd have to do to get the "free" iPad, but I'd bet that it would cost a lot more than just buying an iPad outright.

The number is now blocked

Only said they were our "local" ink/toner supplier and would we like to "win" a free iPad.   I had just let it go into voice mail and the number now comes up as "spam" on my caller ID.

We received a call from this number 323-283-8958.  At first there was no one there but I stayed on a line for a few seconds and then the recording came on that said they "missed us" and they are the "local" ink and toner supplier.  Something about a free ipad, blah, blah and then gave a number to call  888-285-1306.  That is "jay" from the ink and toner supplier and says he is "on the other line" and to leave a message.  Alternatively, you can press 9 to no longer be called.  I did that...we'll see if they call again.

Recording launched upon getting the call saying he was "Jim" my "local" ink and toner supplier. Robocall spam. Just hang up on these.

Same thing as above posts from "Jay". SCAM!!!

Our was the following recording after several seconds of silence-
"Hi this is Chad from your local ink and toner supplier. Looks like I missed you. Just wanted to give you a quick call to let you know. You will receive a free Apple iPad or the new Apple watch with another order of ink and toner for your fax inkjet LaserJet or copier. So receive your free iPad or watch give me a call at 888-285-1306. Again give me a buzz back at 888-285-1306. Talk to you soon."

Call actually comes in from 323-283-8958 according to caller ID. We are a manufacturer authorized copier dealer in our area, so I think we're good on toner...

This is a variation of the free sports wear scam. Your company gets a call. We're sending over golf shirts, baseball caps, etc. Then comes the overpriced lightbulbs, toner, ink, etc. Once someone signs for the 'free' sports stuff you're sunk.

Robocall for Ink & toner scam with a free iPad.  Gave a call back number of 888-285-1306.  I reported them to the FTC.

Call came in at 9:18 am eastern time. I don't even think the scammers get up and start calling at 6:18 local CA time.

I answered, they hung up.

Sent it to VM.  Hi, this is Jay from "your local toner supplier".  What a joke.
