Called and left no message. Possible scammer.

Received the same call.  Silence on the other end.  I blocked the call.

"Unknown caller" left no message

More NO MESSAGE call.  Got to be spam.

I blocked a call from this unknown # on 04.18.17 at 7:00 pm. This number has been reported as a problem on other web sites. I don't know how accurate another web site is for the origin of the call but appears to be at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and Lucas Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. I've noticed many calls from this same location for other numbers. If it is accurate, that would be the call center for this tele-scummers.

Received a call from this number, I answered, she asked for me by name, I said this was me, there was silence, then she hung up. Called the number back and got a busy signal.

I'm SOMEBODY now!  The city of Los Angeles took time out of its busy schedule to call ME!  The whole city!

Wow!  I just wish the city had left a message...

I let it go to voicemail and the City of LA didn't leave a message. How rude of them!

They called my cell. I answered and they asked for me by name. I asked who was calling. They repeated the request, asking for me by name. I asked them again who they were. There was a few seconds of silence. and the caller said that there was no message to leave and they would try to call again later. They have not called again since. They would not identify themselves, so I did not feel the need to return the favor.

Fake 'cancer research' charity.
After the robo-dialer delay a boip - a lady asked for a person here by name.
When I asked who was calling she gave her name and asked for the person again.
When I asked what the call was about, she said she was calling for the "Breast Cancer Outreach Foundation Center", and launched into the script about helping fund research and helping breast cancer victims - and 'if we send out a pledge card can we count on you for your support?' - to which I answered, 'no - and please remove me from your call list as required by law'.  She said she would submit that but it could take 48 hours to become effective.
Breast Cancer Outreach Foundation is one of the many names used by a family of virtually fake charities where more than 90% of the funds received are kept by the paid telemarketing company.  CharityNavigator has an alert out on this organization.
If you want to help with breast cancer - there are many real and valuable organizations that need support.
Do not waste your money by giving to these scammers.

Called my cell, got my voice message in my voice, clearly I am female, caller leaves a message 'is there a man of the house available?'

Called twice in a few minutes. No message of course. Call came up as Scam Likely.

I went for 15 years without these continuing silent calls and telemarketers on my cell phone until I moved my number to a Tracfone.  Now it is all the time.
Tracfone benefits by using up my phone minutes that used to be almost none.

i'm curious how many of you reporting bad calls have Tracfones?

I hadn't had any calls recently but they have stared today. Block the number if you can.

Mystery unknown caller no message was left, so I block it

4/25/17 Received a call from a woman "Is Ricardo there?" I said you have wrong number and then it said "well maybe you can help me...I'm calling on behalf of a cancer research kdjfalksjdfskdjfioe" . So telemarker. Tap block on your phone for this one.

Good catch. I just received a call from the same number. Instantly rejected, then blocked.
