I received a call from a young man claiming to be from the Homecenter in Irvine. Google shows no such business. He knew my name and address and said he was going to come by shortly to review home repairs. I'm at work but kids are home. Very upsetting. I'm involving the authorities.

I'm next! It's now 12:45, early afternoon, and this was my seventh nuisance call of the day already. What will it take to make these people stop? I'm sick of it! But thanks to all for your reports, as at least I know now why I'm not answering these calls.

Received a call from this bogus robo call, and the caller knew my name and address, and got a little up-set when I questioned the nature of the call. Filed a complaint with FCC.

Called and hung up on me when i answered.  I am a semi retired contractor, so I will actually set appointments with these [***] because they will not remove you from their dialer if you ask them.  Once the contractor shows up and sees you wasted his time, they will do it.

An unwanted call from this L.A. VOIP number arrived today.  When the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space.  Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) do this all the time while trolling the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.

There are some reports the caller is a scam contractor peddling home repairs.  No wonder the website www.whitepages.com describes this number as "scam or fraud."

DO NOT BE VICTIMIZED BY THESE TELECRIMINALS.  LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.

It's the scamming "Home Center" using yet another spoofed number. The local FCC office has received many complaints on them and has recently installed equipment to trace IP originated spoofed number calls, which they said they are just beginning to crack down on.
So people- start filing complaints with the FCC and FTC. Maybe now we can rid ourselves of these Fu*$#@%  scumbags!

I received the call just now and the deep male voice was looking for my daughter, and he has her first and last name. I asked who he is and he hung up. I called back 2x and it gave me the verizon recorded message that the number is not available at this time. Mike, if he knows your address, it is very possible that he knows our address as well. This is NOT good. Who do I need to notify regarding this call? I am very concerned.
