Caller ID shows "Los Angeles, CA".  Left no message.

They said they were from the diabetes association,wanted ss# so they could send diabetic supplies,told them I didn't have my number handy, they said they  would call back in an  hour! Surprise, they never called back. It's another scam!

Have called several times in past two weeks.  I never answer, they never leave message.  Caller ID says "California"

Asked for "Ben" then asked if anyone in household had diabetes.

Silly me, I picked up the call blindly because I was expecting a call.  The conversation went like this...

Hello?...   Hello?
"   (obvious boiler room chatter in background)   "
...
"Hello, how are you today?"
I am fine, who's calling please?
"Do you have di a bee tis"
I'm sorry, I don't understand."
"Do you have die a bee tus?"
I'm sorry, I still don't understand what you are saying.
"do you have diabetes?"
...
..
I'm sorry, I don't know what you are asking.
...
...
"Thank you, have a nice day"
..
...

Goodness, now I know why I don't normally pick up the phone. Come on!  If you don't identify yourself, nor do you enunciate properly, I'll string you along until I tire of your drivel.  Thanks for nothing.

call 2-3 times a day. I finally blocked the phone #

They call me several times a day, they always leave a message on the answering machine but it's just a beep. Caller ID says V07081642220578, I have no clue what that means.

'California' has been calling me for the last few days. Cali never leaves a message though. Maybe if it said 'Hollywood', I would pick up the phone!

They called - I didn't recognize number so didn't answer, waiting to hear message on answering machine.  They hung up as soon as the answering machine picked up

Reading the above comments about the "diabetes scam" I'm now very happy that I didn't answer when they called.

There really needs to be a "Scam" choice on the call type options below.

Caller ID = V07151805200579 and Google sez 'huh? No match found'  Shame I'm perpetually maxed out on my blocked numbers.  

I've had many calls over the years from assorted blind numbers and blind IDs.  Even fakes (area codes, numbers, callers, etc.).  Wish we could block, ban all such calls.  Wish my phone would block more than 20 numbers, max. ;-(

And more than one person wonders why I screen calls before answering.

Called a few minutes ago, left no message.  Did not answer it because I did not recognize it. Caller ID said CALIFORNIA.

Called at 4:30 in the morning.  Left no message.  I didn't make it to the phone in time to pick up.  You get a call that time of day/night you think someone has died or something.  I mean, 4:30 in the morning!!!  Then I couldn't get back to sleep.  Thought someone had misdialed.  And now I see it is some type of scam?  Grrrr

got this call this morning about the Dia Bee Tez question.  thought I would unplug my phone just in case there is some connection to my computer since I have vonage.  might be crazy paranoid but you never know these days

Called and was on a 3 way call of all confused people all claiming to have just answered phone.

Called at 1:50 AM. I said, hello, hello...  An automated voice said "good bye."

Never leaves messages. Has called many times before...

This # is a landline based in Irvine, CA serving the Los Angeles area - however, I suspect it is a person being deceitful using VOIP and just using a FAKE number SPOOFING caller ID - google 'spoofing caller ID' for more info on that.

Do not give these people ANY INFORMATION, hang up the phone, do not answer a call from them.

Sounds exactly like the phone call I received.  

She hung up as soon as I said "No" before I could tell her to take the name & number off the list

They called here today and left a message.  They asked to speak to me by name, first and last.  Is it normal that they would know who they are calling?  Do any of you actually have diabetes or is it a shot in the dark?
