Incoming call to my cell (which is on the Do Not Call Registry). I picked up, said hello, and heard a man with a thick accent say, "Hello? Hello?" with some background noise. When I again said, "Hello?" he started speaking quickly: "Yes, hello... this is Edward Garcia and I am calling on behalf of Highland Resorts...".  I hung up and blocked the number with my service provider.

Called yesterday. After the introduction, I asked where they received my information. I was told Mall. Who is Mall? I told the lady I was on the DNCR and that this was an illegal call. I asked to speak to a manager, but of course, they were busy. I said I would gladly wait on the line, but she continued to dance around the question. Near the beginning of the call, she said all the info she had was my telephone number. After I told her I would report the company to the government, she suddenly had my name wrong and misdialed my phone number. I called her out on her lie, but she continued to say it was the wrong number. I'm sure it's a scam.

got call from lady saying hello my name is mall is this mackenzie and i said yes and said this for a vacation or something and i said how do u know my information and they didnt answer and i hung up..idk if

I called it back, and the recording said "All of our agents are currently unavailable. If you'd like to be placed on our Do Not Call List, press 1. If not, press 2." I pressed "END."

Call from "Jenny" -- very hard to understand.  She knew my first name.  Said she was with "Southern Journeys" and that she is "not trying to sell me anything.  All she wanted to do was invite me and my spouse to a "promotion" in my area.  I told her I was not interested, and to take me off of their call list.  She was very pushy.  I hung up.

Received a call today after 8pm, did not answer. No voicemail left.

Could barely understand the broken English.  Workin' some scam about free vacations.

My wife just got a call from this number about 10  minutes ago. She did not answer and they did not leave a recording. I believe that it's always best to ignore numbers you don't recognize, and if it is important they will leave a message. And if you DO answer and they ask you any questions, have a little bit of fun and ask them some questions back and make them feel uncomfortable where they dont want to talk to you anymore. Never buy anything over the phone or give any personal information to someone you do not know in person. Keep this in mind.....If the caller sounds like their looking out for your own interests, then it's a scam. If the caller sounds like they are looking out for their own interests, it's probably one of your relatives.

They called me, I listened long enough to be able to tell that it's clearly a scam. I've been getting a ton of calls like this about free vacations because I entered a contest at Applebees. They must have sold my phone number to a bunch of losers. My bad.

Just hang up on these fools. So far they haven't called again.

A few minutes ago, I received a phone call from this number saying I was selected for a free VIP experience with some human rights organization. If that alone wasn't fishy enough, the person on the other side of the call then asked me if I could refer any friends or relatives.... Needless to say, I declined.

I made the mistake of answering. It's a total scam. Same as the others, the guy started with telling me he was not selling me anything but he was only "inviting" me to a promotion or party, whatever. I was very confused and it was "his first day" so he referred me to the manager. the "manager" gets on the phone, and i could tell by his voice...IT'S THE EXACT SAME GUY. So i lied and said I was a minor, he said he had an intern i could talk to, and referred me to his intern. SURPRISE, you guessed it, the exact same guy. Please don't bother calling back and don't give out any information!

Got a call on my cell phone today from this number. Because I didn't recognize it, I sent the call to voicemail. No msg was left so I came here to see who it was. Alas, based on the comments, it seems I made the right decision. Thanks 800 notes, for providing this service.

got a call from 323 515 9970 showed on caller id as ISR. they said something about cable tv. she wouldnt identify the company , finally they hung up. caller was a woman. probable scam, especially since others got different offers from the same number.

received a call tonight at 9:28pm. Heard nothing but glad I hung up after reading this post. Telco Should investigate this number.
