I got a text from this dude trying to scam me on craigs list!

I recieved a text from some dude wanting to send me a check from an item listed from Craigslist. I think it is a scam however I told him I would not release the item until it cleared Chase Bank. I have had this same type of scam before and there are ways to check and see if the funds are good. Do not release anything to anyone that sends a money order or funds by way of paper unless it has completely cleared the bank it is drawn on.

I also recieved a call from him wanting to buy an item I had listed on craigslist. He is sending a check from Chase Bank. I told him the item will not be released until his check has cleared Chase Bank. I will have my bank manager run the check back to Chase and see if he is legit. I don't think he is. I have had this type of scam before. I recieved a money order from western union, it looked very real however in checking with Western Union it was a forgery no return address. I am suspect i am dealing with the same type person.

Yep - scam! to my craigslist - also got one from 305-982-7516

I have also just recently received a text from this number wanting to buy an item I have for sale on Craigslist. He offered to send a check. He also offered to send an extra $50 for the inconvenience. After reading the comments above I don't think I will be doing business with him.

I also got a text from him stating he wanted to purchase my stuff I had on Cragslist. He offered me an extra $50 also. He then told me I was over paid and had to wire him back some money. I did not give him any information and I will not return any money because I didn't receive any.

definetly a scammer luckily i looked up his number becuase i seemed fishy
