Someone called from this number and told me that my husband would be arrested by this evening if we didn't call a John Turner about some legal matter. I received a letter from Anthem Ins Co. today that their records have been stolen. Maybe this is from that problem. Scary!!

It is NOT the FBI (illegal to claim that too).  They have more important things to do than follow up on a debt.

Even if you did owe money, you would NOT be warned if a summons would be coming.  Ignore the calls.

Caller stated she was from the FBI presumably to scam money. Called twice. Caller identified as Dana McCoy through internet search. Reported to DNC list and authorities.

The person that called had an Indian accent also.  I reported it to our police dept. and to the Federal Trade Commission at # 1-877-438-4338. You may want to notify them also.

A man with a Indian accent called and asked for my husband by his first name. I told him that he wasn't here and could I take a message. That was when he told me that there was a serious matter that had to be cleared up. That my husband should call 323-638-0110 and ask to talk to John Turner and if he didn't call my husband would be arrested tonight.  So I called the police and Federal Trade Commission to report it.

Same thing just happened to me, a guy asking for my husband and I said I didn't know him and he said my husband was being sued and it was the Federal Investigation Bureau and it was a very serious matter.  I told the guy that a serious matter like this would not be handled in the way he was handling it and that it would be held confidentially and I thought he was full of sh*t.  He kept asking me if I knew my husband and I said why would I know him and why would I tell you.  He repeated our address and said it was very serious and that my husband had to contact a David Smith.  I said "you are not  David Smith.. that's a very common name and you have an accent so I know you're full of it and I have dealt with local state police on other matters and nothing was ever handled like this so if they continue to call my # looking for said person, I will call the police again and have them arrested for harassment.  The guy said "obviously I have the wrong phone number" and I said "obviously" and hung up on him!

I received a call yesterday from this phone number.  They claimed to be from the Federal Investigation Bureau on behalf of the IRS.  They had my name and address, and said I was in serious trouble with the IRS and that my property would be seized, liens put on my property and I would be arrested.  I asked, exactly what have I done and he rambled on about an affidavit.  He had sort of a Philipino accent and claimed to be Kevin Johnson.  I told him that with his heavy accent I had no idea what he was saying.  Basically he said alot while at the same time not saying much, from what I could understand with the accent.  He said someone would soon be arriving at my house to present the affidavit, and to arrest me, so I was to stay put.  What???  Then he hung up.  Truthfully, I was shaken up because I had never heard of this scam.  I immediately called my tax guy who told me it was a scam. He said they hung up on me because I didn't offer them money to "make my problem go away".  The real Federal Bureau of Investigation should hunt them down, throw them in jail and throw away the key.  That should be a felony to pretend to represent the FBI and the IRS!!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Just got a call from F.I.B. but it was from Marv Thomas.  One would think that a man with that name could be easily understood but his accent was so bad (and not a CA accent either)!!  Does it do any good to report these again to the same agencies?  I'm sure it doesn't matter how many times they get notified.  Hate to clog up legitimate phone lines and waste more time when the issue has been reported so many times already.

I'm scared, really scared.  Wonder what I did now!!!  :)

I got a call from this number this morning, claiming to be from the Federal Investigation office.  A Mike Smith, with a heavy Filipino accent, and he told me my husband needed to pass on his lawyer's name and number.  Because he is gonna get sued.  When I pressed him for details, he said he couldn't reveal anything else.
