same thing happened to me?

Knowing this is another of the unsolicited calls, I answered in a very abrupt tone "City Morgue!"  This usually stops these calls.

i called it back but just rings then hangs up.  tried to call again and it was disconnected.

I dont know why numbers that call me unsolcited are able to immediately be 'not a working number'
Someone should offer a way to block them from repeated hang up calls...

this is what is commonly refered to as a spoof number.  technically it doen't exist.  When you have an account with a computer based system like Skype, you can make the number that appears on the caller ID any number you want it to be.  Usually these people use numbers that aren't in service.  But the number is fake.  I actually have a similar account with Skype, but instead of a fake number popping up, my mobile number is shown.  You have to program it into the Skype account to do this.

So annoying... because it is an area code of Los Angeles area where I DO often get calls because we have relative there.  But glad I saw it is just a "spoof" so will just leave it ring.  We make a habit of NOT answering any calls we do not recognize on caller ID.  Since my friends know that they have to leave a msg...start talking... for us to "pick up"... it saves a lot of wasted time!!!

So I get a call from a man telling me he works for my credit cards.  I asked which one?  He said all of them.  I said I don't talk to telemarketers and he loses it and starts yelling at me.  I asked him to stop yelling at me and he got even more nasty and said "fine! ask me if I care! you just ruined your chances for reduced rates! You will be paying a lot of extra money for the next seven years!" and he hung up....I have to admit he caught me offguard.  I also assume it must be a scam--hope so!  Anyone else get a call from the unidentified credit card processing guy?  He swore up and down that he's NOT a Telemarketer.....

Its a scam.  They will rack up all your cards within hours.  Dont share info - if you want lower rates call your card holder directly and say hey I'm looking to shop around for lower rates but if you can lower mine then we both win - that way you know who you are dealing with since you started the call.  

We did this with a pre-paid card to see what they would do- within minutes of me giving the info they tried to use it.  To bad it only had pennies left.  When he realized the scammer got his own medication he called me a 'b***h' and hung up.

I am so sick of this one!  At least  5 times a week I get this phone call.

I get this call from this nimber three times a day...strange how you call it bk and it stated not working number....they should prosecute to th fullest extent of law.....this time they new my first name and asked who was calling her.?? She was not hme...hung up real quick....im not answering anymore calls.? They can leave a msg and maybe if it is reaal I will thoink about calling them back.....  

Also watch for timeshare companies out their that are ripping people off too offering to sell their timeshare...thy cant and dont even try.....

i got one today...i feel so bad now i know what it is. i answered the phone a lady asked for me i asked who was calling she didnt say anything a min later i said hello who is calling she just hung up. i thought my boyfriend had another girlfriend checking up on him,,,lol my bad. wish i could find out who it really was.

I just got a call from that #, after seeing all these posts thank god I accidentally hit mute on my phone and they hung up. Cuz I was about to fall for it! The guy I talked to said his name was Jonathan Pauly and his federal ID # is 5763303, is that what everyone else got??

Just got a call from this number.  I missed it, but would not have answered it since I did not recognize the number.  They did not leave a voicemail.

I got calls from a Christian Wright with the same federal ID # regarding credit card consolidation. The phone # he gave me is: 480-491-1655 (AZ). However, the initial phone call was from Omaha, NE. He said he was from Visa/MasterCard. I had a very long conversation with him about all of the money I could save... for $1,499.00
