Received a call from this number with no ID and no voice mail. Called the number back from my office phone and the call never connected - just stopped ringing and sounded like dead air. As they didn't answer, I'm filing this number under scammer and blocking them.

said they were calling from us treasury about balance i owe.  this is a scam!

I received a call from this number that I could barely make out because the recording was so scratchy. I assume that's because it's being worn out by the clowns who make these threatening calls and say they are from the Treasury Department. I did not call back.

Scam call - accented voice said they were from the treasury dept and mentioned a magisterial judge.  idiots.

left vm stating he was David Greg from US Treasury Dept and to avoid being charged with criminal offense to call 323-729-3655 or charges would be filed accordingly. Scammer.

Scammer obviously, claimed to be a guy called "david greg".

It seems I'm in trouble with the US Treasury, and need help.  Line quality was so poor, I couldn't understand all the details.  You'd think the US Treasury could afford better phone service.

Yep, I got this same call (from the Treasury!!!) twice today.
I didn'tl back, but it looks like some of the above people did -- and it didn't go thru

If you get a call from this number please immediately go online and report it to the federal trade commission. They will investigate who is using the U. S. Treasury dept. name to scam the general public. This  is a huge felony !

A "message was left" on my home VM, by a Desi voice claiming to be with the US Dept of Treasury.
That I had 24 hours to respond to the message or ACTIONS WOULD BE TAKEN.
The Desi accent was so bad that I needed to play it several times to garner the little I have documented here.
Called the number back with a preceeding *67, which took me to dead air.
Put the number in our CALL BLOCK

Same thing.  Recorded message saying I was in big trouble with the IRS.  Sad that they can't catch these people.

Person had the nerve to leave a voice mail which was very hard to understand. I only gleaned legal threats, magistrate, etc. until I read all the other comments and realized that he had also mentioned treasury department. I actually tried to call back but nobody answered. I reported number to the FTC phone scam site.

Yep, me too.  Barely understandable recording saying something about US Treasury and I better call them back.  These $$%$^^&  never give up.  Block them!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got the same call with the same message.  Can't believe people fall for this.  Block and report this number folks.

I got a call from this number, they did not say anything so I called back. Accented voice said they were from the US Treasury Department and that I owed the IRS for 2012 taxes, and that an arrest warrant was issued by the IRS. I said, ok, then why are you calling me. He said because my record was clean and that they were notifying me, but in 45 minutes someone was coming to my house to give me legal documents and take me into custody. I said, you do know that I can call the IRS and validate your claim, right? He then said the IRS is not handling this any longer, they have turned it over to the US Treasury Department. I then said you guys are lying, the IRS would never do that, don't call me again.

What a scam.

Called them and told them I KNOW WHO YOU ARE. If you EVER call my number again and threaten me again, I will find you and you will wish that you had never contacted me. UNDERSTAND!?!?!?
