Just got a call from this number and when I answered with our Business Name they hung up, kinda rude!

They called our place of business. About 11am. No one there. After about 10 seconds, then you hear BEEPBEEPBEEP. These companies seem to have money to burn, making Long Distance calls but they just never say anything! Great business model!

does that mean you work for Jones? what state? Seems this caller is makin the 'rounds!

Called 3 times today. Caller ID "CALIFORNIA," did not recognize number and so did not answer. First call, no voice mail, 2nd call about 5 seconds of silence on voice mail, 3rd left this: "Hi, this is Delbert. Can you hear me OK? Hi, this is Delbert. Can you hear me all right?" No idea who Delbert is and what he's calling about.

I have gotten a call from this number twice in two days and no voice mails to follow, and they called my cell phone. The caller ID doesn't even show a place of calling from.

I just ignore them since I don't have any business from California

Called at almost 8pm, a few second of silence then a female recorded message that said "please stand by for a very important message". Call was then transferred to very noisy call room and disconnected without a person speaking but many voices in the backgtound if the call room.

I blocked the number.

A man from someplace with a lot of background noise wanted to speak with a particular manager, adding, "Is she there?"  I asked what in reference to, and he repeated, "Is she there?"  The connection wasn't good, so I repeated myself, we went around again, and he said, "I guess I'll call back later," then hung up.

Calls 2 times a day even sundays. id says CALIFORNIA and of coarse i don't live in us. I have a go phone packed away.
They have already called it at least 100 times...
And i will only answer it for 4 numbers that call me... (they should just give up!)

No message.  They must not need to speak to me very badly.

Just got called and caller stated they were from SC magazine, a well known computer security magazine and wanted to know if I wished to attend their podcast.  They knew all my personal information to include my personal address.  I had my smart phone hooked up to my computer and suddenly my internet connection died.  I called that number back, but it never rang and evidently was a bogus or spoofed number.  Am glad I have life lock and hope it works because these people now have my personal information and I cannot contact them.

High probability this is a social engineering attempt to confirm personal information.

Caller ID captured the call originating from Burbank, CA.

Got 2 calls from this number this morning 30 seconds apart and no message left.

The lady said, "Can you hear me okay?" with a southern twang.  I said, "Yes" and then asked who is calling and they hung up.

Let it go to voice mail, and it recorded a message.
A recorded female voice said "please hold for" and then she was cut off by a man with office noise in the background saying "hi this is James, can you hear me ok? ... oh" and then it ended.

Seems like a lot of these are similar with minor differences.

Received the call and didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. Came to 800notes.com, read the other posts and blocked the number. Whatever they have and are trying to get me to buy/buy into, I'm not interested.

I've gotten four calls from this number since Monday and it shows up as CALIFORNIA on my VOIP phone at work.  Given the age of some of these postings it's been around for a while.

It's going on my Vonage blocked caller list

Called office landline, would not identify himself or who he was calling from. Also did not know whom to ask for; said the name of the person who's office he was calling for incorrectly. Hung up on me when I tried to insist he leave a message. I called the number back and the call does not go through. Obviously a scam of some sort. The original call had a lot of call-center type background noise.
