It keeps texting me asking for Melissa (I am not Melissa and I don't know any) and wants me to get a loan. It wants me to call1-800-380-9643 (even though the number I received it from was 323-921-2733) or to go to 1stcheckadvance.com/?B4e9y . I went (don't worry, there are no viruses or malware. I scanned it before I went. There is an unsubscribe button on the right. I simply entered my number (what else can they do, send me annoying text messages?), and supposedly, unsubscribed. It says that either I or supposedly someone else (does Melissa come to mind?) agreed to a privacy policy which then allows this company to send me text messages. I don't know if it is a legitimate business but texting people during dinner is probably not the best business method. Here is an actual section from the website:

Yup, got the same text Saturday evening but it actually included my name.  I haven't signed up for anything lately so I do not know how they got my number.  I also am on the do not call registry.

I got the text message that Karla posted. I've never had anything to do with any cash advance companies. I just replied STOP to the text. Hopefully it will work.
