Received bogus IRS - Internal Revenue Services - call from this number on my answering machine.  They claim that the IRS will be filing a suit against me and this is my final notice. Just FYI - the following information is off the real IRS website http://www.irs.gov/uac/Tax-Scams-Consumer-Alerts

Note that the IRS will never: 1) call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill; 2) demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe; 3) require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card; 4) ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone; or 5) threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

IRS scam stating they are going to file a lawsuit and to call the number and request your file so the can attempt to scam you for money.

Same call here my final notice and they're filing suit so I need to call this number. I've been in the same home 35 years so I think IRS knows how to find me by MAIL which they always do. Won't bother to call this number (by the way they called on another line (718-822-9084) asnking me to call this one. Recording.

Got a call on my recorder to call 325-716-4779 in the San Angelo/ San Antonio area but my phone recorded 315-458-7682 in the new York area as the number called from. The recording claimed it was The IRS informing me they were filing a lawsuit against me and I was to call the number immediately for further details. I know it is a scam so I didn't call.

Received one of these calls from 325 716 4779 claiming to be IRS and threatening lawsuits if dont pay up

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I received a voice mail stating that the IRS has been trying to contact me about a lawsuit that they are filing against me. The voice mail also stated that this would be the last time that they will contact me. These scammers left this number to call if I would like more information about this legal matter (325-716-4779). When I finally got someone on the phone, it sounded like the same Indian man that called me about 3 weeks ago telling me that my computer was infected and he was going to show me how to fix the problem ( he was suppose to be from Microsoft or Windows). His goal at that time was for me to go into a website so that he could take over my computer and fix the problem. He also asked what I used my computer for ( banking, shopping, my business etc.) I know now that he planned to use my computer to try and gain access to my banking and credit card information.

I also received messages on my answering machine from (325)716-4779 claim they were the IRS, they had been trying to reach me, I was being sued by the IRS and this was my final notice.
I am a tax accountant, so I knew immediately this was bogus.
They will try anything, won't they.

I just received a call from that number too .  I new it was bogus because I file my own taxes using a simple 10ez online.  That and also do the math on paper to double check the numbers.

Left voice mail and said it was IRS and we're going to sue me. Also said I should call this number as soon as possible. The number was 325 716 4779
