They called at 7:25am saying they were from Windows support and that my computer was infected with malware and it was sending them messages that they could use to help me fix it.  They wanted me to go to my computer and follow their commands. If I hadn't just woken up I would have played along for a while, but I was not in the mood and said unpleasant things until they hung up.  The caller was a male with a heavy foreign accent -- he sounded like the people you get when you call customer support these days.

got a call from a man with a heavy accent this morning about my computer, saying he was from windows and they were recieving error reports from my system that downloads were being made with out my permission. I said reallyl lol. He wanted me o go to my system and turn it on. Ooops I said, I don't have one try someone else. He hung up.

 This number called me about my computer at 8 am on thanksgiving. Ifi could sue them for harassment I would and I am on the do not call list.

Microsoft error. I played along and told them a I was a FBI agent and we are tracking their location. They hung! Up. Do these foriegners think we are that stupid

Got call on Thanksgiving from 'Microsoft'. Knew it was a scam since we don't have a computer with Microsoft. Claimed we had been infecting our computer with recent downloads. He did have my husband's name (scary). Male caller with a heavy accent.

Was away from home but call received at 8:13am on Thanksgiving. Left no message. Caller ID said "name not found." My first call from this number.

Just got a call from this number at my business. Claims to be selling space for my business to be advertised and promoted on a Canadian Mobile Directory. He said they have received several calls inquiring about my business and would like to be able to direct customers my way. For a low cost of 29.99/year they will list me in their new app which is "approved by Apple", etc.
I told him I was closing my biz so no need for service in an attempt to end the sales pitch. He then asked me why I was closing so close to Christmas?! Ha! I finally just hung up.

Got a call today from 'Charles', and he had a heavy foreign accent. Claims the 'main windows server' has been sending him messages and he can help clean up my machine. I hung up and he called back! I would have played along on a different day but that got me irritated and I threatened to have his business reported.

What a joke, I will be pranking this number routinely...

Don't, there's no joy to be ghained from it. They are cloning someone's phone number to have it show up as 326-198-7100, but when I called the number back, I got a completely different sounding connection, with a younger girl who said she has been getting calls about it for days, now. She apologized and asked me to just disregard any calls from "her" number until she could get in touch with her provider about changing it to one not yet tainted by Thieving @$$holes.

So... JAMES, who was obviously not in a "local" call center, called at 7:00 PM MST (which is when I take my after dinner nap). He sounded frantic! He needed to warn me of the virus I was spreading... but, I said I have a firewall... to which he said, "that will not help" (in his thick QuickieMart accent). I then asked him which of my SEVEN computers was coughing up virus's (is that even a word?) He said the one with Microsoft Windows! "Which one? I have 2 w/Windows 7, 2 w/WIndows XP, 2 w/Mac OSX and a tablet with iOS7... Help me, help you dude! Lets get to the bottom of this!", I said.
FIVE minutes of back and forth groveling on his part, lead to him saying, and I quote... "I will put your number on the 'call-after-midnight-list' and make sure you get a call a day!" "GO ahead!", I replied. "that's when I finish my shift at the mortuary, I'll talk to you then"...
He then said, "I will give your name to the government and tell them that you are infecting everyone" To which I replied, "thank you, but we just did that... because I am recording this call"  *click*

That gave me a real good chuckle Rex.  Keep up the good work.

Indian accent moron called me, called him out then he threatened to keep calling. He keeps calling me after 10pm where I have small children sleeping. How can I get this idiot to stop calling me? I already registered nationally for no call list and this douche keeps calling.

Since he's an Indian scammer, he's not going to abide by the Do Not Call list, or respect your request to stop calling.  Other than blocking the number (your phone service provider should be able to do this for you) you may want to tell him that you've reported him to the FBI and they are tracing the call as you speak.  You could also try lowering the ringer volume if your phone has that feature.  Not much else to be done unfortunately.

Person with strong foreign accent calls at 945 PM! He says something about Windows. I tell him I am on a do not call list and he says he's not a telemarketer.Reporting him.

Thanks to everyone for posting your comments.  It sounds like the same dude that called me on December 5th in the evening.  I would have pegged his accent as Nigerian.  In any case, a heavy foreign accent.  Fortunately, I was already aware of this pitch and told him "this is a scam" and hung up.  Not sure where to call to report to the authorities.

These people have called me from various numbers. First it was North Jersey, then NYC, now this exchange. I screamed in their ear before they got their spiel out twice. By the third time I just didnt pick up.

Let him talk for a couple of minutes, then told him that I didn't contact him, and then he hung up. Definitely a scam.

Actually, I would peg his accent as Indian, or one of the surrounding countries in the region.

The guys said his name was Lucas and was calling about "your windows computer, okay?".  I told him to never, ever call here again.  Definitely a scam.  

Received a call this morning at 7:17am.  Did not say anthing but there was back ground noise.
