I am so upset! We made a phone credit card purchase on Oct. 10 '07. Credit posted Oct. 11th, item arrived Oct. 12th. End of purchase story.
This evening a little less than 2 hours ago, I recieved a call from this number. Some guy started telling me about the item purchased in Oct. and he didn't specify day of Oct. He said we have tried running that credit card through twice and it isn't working...do you have that number handy. I started to go to the card and the light went off in my head...no you don't give this to anyone in a situation like this. I said yes I have the number and no I am not giving it to you. I am going to my credit card bill and looking for this transaction because I have never been notified that this was going on, plus going over the limit is not something that would happen with us. Anyway, I told him I needed time to investigate this. He said fine, call this 800 number when you are ready. I said who do I ask for? He said anyone who will talk to you. The number he told me to call was 800-625-7096. When I call it, the recording says "World Reserve Monetary Exchange". A message comes on again saying all customer service representatives are busy at this time, please hold for the next available person. That same message comes around again, and then a third time a message says please try your call again later. Well I googled "World Reserve Monetary Exchange" and it has something to do with the Feds, the Mint and coins!!!!!!!
I cancelled our card immediately and when the business that I made my purchase from opens in the morning I will let them know what happened. I think this idiot knew too much about the product I bought. Perhaps he works for them and is trying to rip me off....either way BEWARE!
Thanks to Marilyn for clearing some of this up. Several months ago I purchased some newly minted coins (thought they'd be nice gifts for my grandchildren), but ever since then I have been receiving phone calls from this number (330) 244-8003 at all hours of the day. I have said I am not interested in any other coins! Do you suppose this number is from a call center and the operators call for all sorts of reasons, from credit card services for banks and for miscellaneous retailers? I don't like that they have info about me. Lesson learned: don't buy any minted coins from an ad in the Sunday newspaper. Thanks, Marilyn! Annie
got a call from this number and the woman asked for me, then told me that my credit card was about to expire and wanted to verify my card number to make sure that my latest purchase was cleared. LMAO i never made a purchase or did I give her the card number, asked her her name and she hung up on me. Go Figure, another scam is out there people. BEWARE.
Have been receiving sporadic calls from this number. When I answer, there is only a dial tone. When returning a call, the number is busy. Interestingly, I also have made a purchase from the World Reserve Monetary Exchange... Coins from an ad in the Sunday paper (for a gift)! However, as previously stated, the Caller ID from this number reads "Patent Health..." Why would those 2 companies have any affiliation with each other? I suspect perhaps there is an employee who works for both and is using info from the WRME to run a scam from his other workplace....??? Regardless, BEWARE OF A SCAM!!!!
not really sure what is going on here. just that i had my credit card #'s stolen. then a week after i cancelled the card, i get a vm from some lady at this number telling me the ref # for the remote (which i didnt purchase) so i tried calling back a bajillion times to say to cancel the order b/c the card is cancelled and i dont want it. also, i thought maybe i could get an address to which the item would be shipped and find out who stole my numbers. but i cant get through. and from the looks of the other reports, its some idiot anyways.
