- HollyI answer the main number at a large company, and this guy with an Indian accent keeps calling for one of our employees claiming that she needs to pay a debt or he "will send US Marshals." Apparently the approach is to just keep calling and harassing her until she forks over money to make it stop. He has called her "dumb lady" and a "frigging criminal." When we asked him for his name and phone number he says his name is Steve Adams and it definitely sounds like he's reading off of a prompt; he even gave the employee's home address as that of his company when we asked. So creepy! We get targeted by scams a lot but this guy is the worst scumbag of them all.
- StacySteve Adams is the name this guy keeps using he keeps calling for one of our employees who is on maternity leave when we told him this we didnt even know what that was. He has called 4 times asking for her when we tell him we gave her the message the first times he called. He asked us to give him her cell phone number... creepy! Highly doubt his name is Steve either!! Wish he would stop calling us here we are a busy company and dont have time to deal with him!

- frances replies to jacalliI started getting calls from this number last week. They keep calling the receptionist where I work and they refuse to stop.
I spoke to a man who I really couldn't understand his name. I did report these calls to the FTC and NYS attorney general. These offices told me they are a scam and not to give them any personal info, actually they told me to not pick up, but I can't do that because they are going to my main switchboard first. When this guy called back I told them I had reported them and he said he didn't care -"the harrassing calls to your job will continue" I said stop right there harrassing calls are illegal. I told him to send me details by certified mail of this so called debt. He said he will send the documents after I pay the debt....wouldn't give me any other info. I again told him what he is doing is illegal. He said he was going to serve me papers and I said go right I want to settle this in court. The last call I really stood up to him. I work for a law firm and they are not taking this lying down. They were flooding there switch board with one call after another. Just be firm and tell them that the government is wise to this scam and they are actively pursuing them. The NYS attorney gen wanted me to report the calls to the police. I will see if the calls start again. The calls stopped for now. I will see if they start again. - francesone more thing the NYS attorney general said I should ask for the license # for them to do business in your state.
along with their mailing address, phone number. And be adamant that they must send you verification of the debt in the mail. - KaylaThis guy is pissing me off and I wish there was a way for them to stop calling!! They are blowing up our business line when we have other patients who need to be calling us we dont have time do deal with this guys SPAM!!! Steve Adams my ass!!
- JoelThis number is calling the main switchboard for our School District and forcing every line busy. Says his name is Steve Adams and will not leave any company contact information. Harassing the switchboard operator and threatening her. FCC and State Attorney general cases have been opened.

- Rebecca| 1 replyThey are calling me all the time. Have strong accents, middle eastern I believe. They threaten with arrest, call and yelled at me and my supervisor. They were calling in Jan from a different set of numbers. My corporate security officer researched the numbers and only one came back as a legit number.. but it was to a Builders Square in San Antonio, but he doubted it was from them as they gave me a few different names of the cash advance place I supposedly went to. They stopped calling my work since then. I had my cell carrier block all unknown numbers for a month, and now I am getting calls again. When I ask for documents I am told I will get them, but never have, the rude guy who yells at me is the boss, and I am not allowed for any reason to talk to the attorneys he works for. I said then good luck getting my money. Send the cops to arrest me... I have recorded the calls so if anything happened, I had proof that he wouldn't cooperate with any requests for information to resolve the matter.
- Tamianth replies to RebeccaIts a extortion scam operation. You will never see any papers. and they are relentless in the calls.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
