Have received numerous harassing calls from this number, two after 10 p.m.  Caller uses my name, asked "cat got your tongue" when I didn't speak after second phone call within minutes.  Called several more times over a period of weeks, making rude comments.  Not sure if this is a fundraiser, or someone abusing the fundraiser's phone line.

At about 8:42 p.m. on 8/22/07, I received a call asking for Mr. [Elyplaid]. Assuming he meant my father, I said he wasn't here right now. Then he asked for Mrs. [Elyplaid]; I pleasantly said she's not here either. I asked if I could take a message. He said to tell them that Dave Van Hausen-sausen-phausen-mausen called. He said this very matter-of-factly, as though he weren't making it up on the spot. I audibly laughed. Then he said, "So what are you going to tell them?" I laughed again and said "Van Hassenpfeffer" and admitted I couldn't remember the whole name. I assumed this was just one of my dad's friends playing a joke. So he said "It's a long name" and repeated it, even spelling out each part of the name. He was about to hang up when I asked if there was a number they could reach him by. Again, matter-of-factly, he read me a number (which traces to a residential number in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; when I called it several minutes later from my cell phone, it was clearly not the same location; when this guy called me, there was a lot of background noise and chatter, like a conference hall; plus the woman said there was no Dave there).

I dialed *69 and it said the last number to call this line was 330-848-2281. Google only returned three hits for that number, which listed something called "Opal," listed under Charitable Organizations at yellowpagecity.com. Melissadata.com lists this number's location as Akron, Ohio. I called this number from my cell phone, and after three rings, it went to voicemail. The name spoken during the voicemail greeting was "Police Athletic League." I figured that was the PAL part of OPAL.

I received a call at 8:44 pm from this #. He said he was with Cops For Kids and I said "I know, you've already called here and I'm not interested" He said "No I didn't, it must have been another organization" We argued back and forth about it and he said he was just gonna keep calling back, I told him I am on the do not call list and I asked for his managers name. Then he hung up! How unprofessional and what a jerk! When I called the # back, it said it was disconnected. Bummer, I wanted to speak to his manager!
