I got a call from these idiots today and answered it- got the recording that said they wanted to "change the interest rate" on my credit card and that there "was no problem with my card"- and I should press the number. I did- and when the girl answered- I said "WHY are you calling my phone number and what kind of SCAM do you think you're pulling- I OWN NO CREDIT CARDS!" She stammered "Sorry" and I said "Take this number OFF your list- I'm on a do not call list, and you have been reported."

Got a call from this number today and it looked so suspicious (with all the zeros) that I didn't bother answering it. Anybody I don't know who calls me from an 800 number or a long-distance number I don't recognize is simply going to "talk to the robot."

If they want to reach me, they can try leaving a message. If they don't leave a message ... well, so much the better.

If it's not clear from my previous post, all that appeared on my caller ID was:

    331-000-3217
    UNKNOWN NAME

I have no idea what caller company it came from, since I didn't answer the call.

Called me 8.30pm... same thing, wants to lower my interest rate. I pressed nine, (with intent of do not call me) held for 4 minutes. Finally when a repo answered, He asked if I was calling to lower my interest rate. I said no- before I could say anymore he hung up. I tried back & got the operator message.

Same call and I needed off the list because I have a business out of my home that I can't just let it ring and ring.  Same offer as the others but when asked to speak to a superviser the girl said she was one and I requested a call back number.  SHE GAVE ME A PORN NUMBER!!!!!!  I reported them.

Recording from "Card Services" about "lowering cc interest, no problem with your cc" but press 9 to speak w/rep.  I did, a 'Kim' came on and asked how much credit card debt I owe.  I asked if she had my phone number in from of her, she said, "no, you were transferred to me" and as I started to tell her I was on the Do Not Call list she hung up.

Automated call said to press 9 for a lower interest rate on credit cards. We had gotten this same call before, so I pressed 9 to complain and as soon as I mentioned the words "Do Not Call List," the caller hung up on me.  Imagine that!  How can these criminals be stopped? I feel bad for the people who might be taken in by this scam.

I received the same call about interest rates, so i hit 9 and when the girl answered I simply said... "what credit cards do i have? with alot of identity theft i wanna check." and she hung up on me very quickly!!!!
seemed like a scam and if you try to call it back and was an invalid number. they may be using a caller id number generator, can buy one online cheap.

I like to press "9" or whatever they lure you into. Then I act like a bumbling old man and let them start to prey on me. I had one going for a full 15 minutes. I kept stammering around trying to find my wallet so I could give them my credit card. Then I made up a number and she said, "That's not a credit card number." I said, "Oh sorry, that's my library card. My eyes aren't too good." I kept talking in circles and kept her on the phone as long as I could. They I said, "lemme ask you a question" and I changed my voice back to my own and said, "What does DO NOT CALL mean to you? I'm just curious what it means to you?" She was just livid with me. She said, "You pressed 9!" and I said, "Oh, I'm sorry. And how does that indemnify you from violating the Federal Do No Call registry?!" She was so mad because I had her going and had wasted her time. I laughed and told her I was glad I had wasted just a little bit of their time because they prey on people who don't know any better to get mixed up with a scam companies like hers.

Call came from Illinois to Kansas at 10:28 hours CDT on 3-12-09. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is the classic -we can lower your credit card rate- scam.

    Dump 'em.

Got a call from (331) 000-3217 and Caller ID said Unknown Name.  I did not answer it.  It went to my voicemail, but it did NOT leave a message of any kind.  I dialed the # back and you cannot call direct to this number.  I have been scammed before and...well, that's why you are here reading this.  Anyhow, if they are afraid to identify themselves by name then DON'T ANSWER!!!
