some one called from this number to collect money saying it wqas a family member in need of money

quiero saber de quien este numero de telefono  3310803167 porque me an estado llamando y anteriormente me estavan llamando de este otro numero  3315304599  pero me echan puras mentiras pero me piden tambiem de que si voy a recojerlo al aropuerto de san jose  pero ya chequie en el internet y me di cuenta que son personas que son estorsionistas que roban a las personas con puras mentiras las  enlevan mucho cuidado con estos numeros de telefono para que no los ballam a robar ?

ami tambien me llamaron, y sabian nombre de un familiar mio.Ay que tener cuidado mi raza con estos scammers! Aunque ellos se agan pasar por un familiar no des nada de informacion hasta que tu investigues bien las cosas. Nos vemos suerte!

I did not answer the phone but from the looks of this post, it looks like a dangerous scam that should be reported to the police.  People I know have been scammed by people knowing all about them from facebook and they tell you that your relative is in jail, etc.

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  Another smart person on this web site said to save it to your contacts as spam 1, then spam 2, etc. so you can just ignore the call.

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

a male  called my father saying he will receive a surprise shortly, said he was my father far relative, my father said I don't recognize your voice, the male person hanged up
