I started receiving text messages from this number. I informed them they had wrong number and they sent me a picture of some woman and a link to a private webcam. This is very strange to me.

To reduce the number of unwanted email and texts you receive, use these tips:

Be careful about giving out your mobile phone number, email address, or any other personal information.

Read through commercial web forms. Some websites allow you to opt out of receiving email from partners – but you may have to uncheck a preselected box if you want to do so.

Check for a privacy policy when submitting your wireless phone number or email address to any website. Find out if the policy allows the company to sell your information.

Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers allow you to forward unwanted texts by simply texting it to 7726 (or "SPAM") to block the sender. Check with your  provider about other options.

Use a "junk mail" or "spam" email filter.

Being curious to who this number was I text back saying you have the wrong number. Turn out It is some random women talking about how she found me online browsing people and wanted to hook up..like wtf is she talking about?! Now this person wont stop texting me even though I told her I am going to report her number..This person is in denial..I'm a private person...I would never give me number out..how do I report this number?! I advise all of you to not text or call back this number

The people doing the texting are criminals and have no intention of stopping. The more you engage them, the more they will text. The best way to stop them is to forward the number  to your cell provider (7726--short code for SPAM). they will investigate and block.
