This man called and he said he was my mother's nephew and said he was coming from mexico to the united states and we later found out it was not my mother's nephew scary.

This man called and said that he was my father's nephew and that his name was George. That he was looking for my father my father be dead over 20 years. This guy was talking with a mexican accent. like a chocho voice. he want to tax my ass.

This guy called from another number and said he was family and he actually said our family last name! He kept talking and I knew it wasnt family because I recognize their voices so I told him to give me his phone number to call him right back and this is the number he gave me.

If you still have the number he first called you with, can you tell me what that first number is?

We got a call today from this number saying it was a family member coming over.  They had our last name.  Who ever is doing this should get a job.

Some guy called me from this number and rattled off a bunch of stuff in spanish with my name somewhere in there.  I said, "excuse me?"  He rattled off a bunch more stuff in spanish and I said "I'm sorry"  He stopped talking and asked, "you don't speak spanish"?  I said "not much" and he hung up on me.  I figured it was just a wrong number until I came on here and read other peoples reports on this phone number.  

So I'm adding my report to all of yours.  I DO have a Hispanic last name but I am not.  So I guess maybe he's targeting hispanic names only judging by the other reports I read along with what I'm sharing with you.  Sad that someone is taking advantage of people.  Hopefully karma will get him and he'll stop.

He just called me and kept calling me Tia and that he was a couple hours away and was coming to visit. He said he was sick that's why he sounded this way and kept saying which nephew did I think it was....... now I wonder how much info I gave him ugh!!

This man called my house today calling me searching for my husband and calling me his aunt. He also told me he was coming for a visit. I told him my husband was working.He ask for his cell phone number and I told him I could not give it to him because I didn't know him and there are scams that go on over the phone
about that time he hung up. I agree with the other person go get a job!!! and I will add one more thing who ever you are you have too much time on your hands!!!!

Call on C I D but no message.  I googled  and the advice it is fraud.Why hasn't  this person been caught?

This happen to us today , called said they were like 3hrs away then in about a hr called and said they were in a accident and needed money.$1000.... This is horrible please don't talk to them hang up!!!! My husband was about to send money... Thanks to theses post he didn't...

This man called my dad last night claiming to be his nephew from Mexico. He told my dad that,  he was on vacation and was wanting to stay with my dad. My dad asked him, who was he & he tried to play it off & told my dad "don't you know your own family" - my dad is older and to him he did sound like one of his nephews so my dad said "are you Jaime" & he said yes. He told my dad he would be here today.  My dad told him "why are you not going to see your sister she is just an hour away from me" & he insisted that he wanted to stay with my dad. So this morning he didn't call at 7a like he said he would. So my dad called his niece & she said that Jaime was in Mexico. My dad called Mexico & actually spoke to his nephew Jaime. When this man called my dad again around noon & told my mom he was in town,& ready for my dad to go pick him up, my mom asked him "who was he" he said Jaime she then asked him "who are your parents" - he began to get upset & said "can I talk to my uncle". My mom then advised him the police had been called & the man got mad and hung up.

This guy called me saying, "Aunt (name)?" I said no, you have the wrong number. He tried to repeat it a couple of times before disconnecting. Very suspicious.

A Hispanic male called from this number speaking Spanish and claiming to be my nephew and apologizing for not calling often, since I did not recognize his voice. I tried two names of nephews and he said yes to both of them, challenging me to think and recognize him over the voice. His accent has nothing to do with my family and relatives, so I said "you are not him" and when he came back again with the first name I suggested and I asked for the surname, he just did not answer and I hang up.

We are a Hispanic family in Baton Rouge, LA. Caller - young male - spoke in Spanish. Now that I think about it, he tricked me. He said, "Guess which of your cousins is calling from the Houston area?" When I said a name, he said "Yes its me! I'll be driving through town in a few hours and I'd like to visit." It sounded odd because my real cousin would have said it differently.

So I googled the number - 331-394-9162 - and found posts from other people saying it's a man pretending to be a relative then calling later saying he's been in a traffic accident and asking one to send him money. The number did call back four more times that evening but I didn't answer it.

Also another number called me within the hour - 333-368-7307 - I didn't answer so I don't know if they are related calls but I don't know anyone with that number either.

Lesson - if someone says guess who, don't mention names and don;t give them your address or phone number or cell phone number. Instead, ask them to identify themselves with family details that they should know  - names, birth dates, phone numbers. If they won't answer, hang up and file a report online.

I just posted in English above but the scammer speaks in Spanish so I'm posting the same story in Spanish.

Hoy recibi una llamada en Espa~nol de alguien que dijo "Adivina cual de tus primos en Houston te esta llamando?" Yo dije un nombre y el hombre dijo "Si! Soy yo. Voy de viaje y pasare' pro all en unas tres horas. Te llamo cuando este mas cerca."

Pero no le reconoci'a la voz entonce busque' el numero en el internet - 331-394-9162 - y encontre comentarios de otras personas quien dicen que es un hombre que lla'ma despues diciendo que estubo en un accidente en la carretera y que necesita dinero. Entonces le pasa el telefono a otro hombre que amenaza con llamar a la policia.

El mismo numero me llama' cuatro veces despues pero yo no lo conteste'.Tambien recibi' una llamada de otro numero dentro de una hora - 333-368-7307 . No conteste' asi que no se' si estan relacionados pero no conozco a nadie con ese numer.

La moral del cuento es que si alguien no se identifica al prici'pio, no hay que dar ninguna informacio'n - ni nombres ni telefonos ni direcciones. En vez, hay que pedirle al que llama que se identifique a si mismo con nombres familiares o fechas de nacimiento etc. Si no quiere identifica'rse. cue'lgue el telefono y no vuelva a contestar.

Este hombre esta llamando se hace pasar por un familiar de mi esposo, se escucha al fondo como se rien tiene un acento como colombiano.espero y tomen carta en el asunto.le pregunto quien habla y dice los priomos que estan en E.U.Pero no le reconoci  la voz entonce busque el numero en el internet - 331-394-9162 - y encontre comentarios de otras personas quien dicen que es un hombre que llama y nunca da su nombre cuandon se le preguta

Wao it just happen to me right now I guy calling if I.was this with last name and he said it was a family member out of my cityand state where I live and said how can inot remember family member but thank God I wasnt as stupid and dum to give info...all I keept saying


who do you need to speak and what is ur name and he hanked up after he did not receive any info from me...becareful everyone people be scaming a lot of money by this...

Second call will say he has $25,000 but can't bring it through the airport. We told him we had a cop who could help him when arrived. Scam!

This guy just called my house when I answered the phone he said TIA is me Carlos your nephew from Barcelona Spain he spoke with a forced spaniard accent so I started taking back with a spaniard accent I knew at that point it was a scam, he said yes Tia is me Carlos dont you remenber me I said no I dont remember you I dont know who you are I dont have a nephew called Carlos nevertheless from Barcelona,so he said but Tia yes is me Carlos Sola, dont you remember me, then he said  where does last name Sola comes from it comes from Barcelona,  I said I dont know you I dont know who you are you are not my nephew and that point he hunged up on me.  It sure is a Scam these fools out there are real thieves and we need to be careful not to fall for it.
