This [***] called my mom with this number above 1-331-3693 then again with 52-331-3693 saying it was my cousin and he was coming for a visit. Now what I found weird was how my cousin lived in ny and had never come in contact with us and next day he calls first time saying he's in L.A in a truck that's not even his and a check of 10k. After he tells us he stopped at a gasoline station and had a car accident and needs money because he has no insurance for the truck everyone's fine except the guys daughter who  was injured ? Lol so the guy is asking for money and said he had a flight to catch or else he would call the high way patrol and deport my cousin back to mexico. I spoke to him once immediately I smelled something fishy. He was speaking to my mom and said the guy wanted 1300$. My mom without thinking twice got the money and went to a money gram and so I called my dad, he also found this weird. After we called the guy and asked to talk to my cousin my dad asked him for the name of r his dad and he hanged up. Saved by the bell. My mom is too nice. Thank god. The money was to be sent to a Eduardo Fernando Perez Quiart in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. We believe it's  someone we know but then again the guy wanted the money send to Guadalajara Mexico and our family is from Puebla Mexico so idk. And the area code is from Chicago? Tf . Question: how did he know my cousins name and how the hell he get our number ?

Scam they been calling all morning with the same story. Do not believe this guy. I'm sure he's going to try somebody else's number. He called my sister, my mom and now me I'm just not answering the phone anymore. He can go to hell.

Yup that same number called me. He didnt ask for money, well I didnt give him a chance. He started with am your cousin Pepe. Jaja I dont have cousin so it was very weird to me. I kept him in the line and listen. Once he asked me how we where I said u should know we are family and we stay in contact remember. Every question he had I aswer with another quetion. Got tire of me and next thing I heard was biiiiii. As long as you calmly reply without giving any right anwers about your family. They will stop calling. If u get nervous or hang up they try you again.

They called me today, very creepy cause he sorta understands latino culture, as we tend to have large families, so he posed as a nephew and teased me that i couldn't remember his name. for awhile i was caught off guard cause he was teasing and friendly and of course there are distant relatives who i can't recall offhand. but  finally i asked him, ok i give up what is your name? and he must have figured the gig was up cause he got off the line. this is a scam artist, looking for money, period.

rcvd call from person saying he was a relative, spoke spanish, my Mom answered , glad she didn't give any info and hung up on them.

I just received the same call.  I asked them to call back.  It gave me time to verify if the person they were impersonating was in Santa Barbara as they said.  The male caller uses the same stories as above. Poses a relative or friend of a relative.  Says he was in an accident, needs money to pay for the injury of the daughter of the driver.  He called again asking if we verified and thankfully I verified our relative has not even left his home this morning and entered his number on Google and found we aren't the only ones attempting to be bamboozled.
***OJO estos personages quieten sacar dinero.  Dicen que son familiares. Que estuvieron en un accidente.  Que necessitate dinero.  NO manden dinero.  No les den informacion. OJO****

Just now received a call from this number. He spoke in Spanish and said," Don't you remember me? I'm from the other side of your family. Not the ***** side."  He knew one of our last names. How? I'm glad I looked up the number. I just kept telling him, I have no idea who you are and asking for his name. He hung up.

This guy just called a few minutes talking in Spanish. My mom answered the call. He started with a friendly opening.my mom asked who he was and he was teasing her because he didn't recognize his voice or who he was . My mom thought that he might be a cousin. He said yeah I'm your cousin. You still don't remember my name... He laughed .... He said don't you remember when I would eat your (private part) ... Utterly disturbing ... My mom immediately hung up....prevert
