- rosy| 1 replyThis guy called claiming to be my nephew at first then my cousin. Said he had s surprise for me and since I didn't want to go along with his dumb game he said his feelings were hurt. He was trying to get information from me. Gente be careful. Not right.
Begun un primo despues sobrino que ne tenia una sorpresa. Despues que no le arguing su juego se molesto y me colgo. Que segun le iba a pedir a mi tio que me llamara. Cuidado, me quiso ver la cara. - *Strange Phone call from this number . Also stated that he was my dads nephew in spanish. My uncle recently had the same strange phone call falsely claiming to be his nephew and asking for money because they were in an accident. Because of this and because he didnt recognize the voice he said he wasnt going to fall into their trap. The caller got frustrated and outraged and hung up. Be Careful
- 1221Same thing happened with the same number, he called asking for my dad and telling us to guess who he was and we though it was one of our family members from Mexico and since we hadn't heard their voices in a long time we thought he was being for real. My mom guessed his name and of course he said it was his name. He told us he was on his way to Bakersfield and then the next morning he calls saying he was in an accident and that he needed $1000. We went to wire the money and luckily we spelled the name wrong so they weren't able to get it. We found out they were lying because our real cousin was with his father in Arizona and he had broke his leg. We put it all together and we figured it out. We told the people we caught them and they never called back. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE! From now on if someone calls claiming they're family, better keep the questions coming before and make sure it's not a 333 area code.

- AngelThis just happened to us today. Claiming he is my cousin from Mexico and is coming to visit us. We never met him, but my parents did. My wife hurried up and cleaned the house since all of a sudden he is coming over on such a short notice. After keeping us posted on his drive from Mexico to California, at least 6-7 phone call we got, he claimed to have gotten into a car accident and wants $500.00 for us to sent him. We almost believed it was him, but since we don't really know that cousin, we relied on asking my parents more about him. We did think it was strange. Once he wanted the money we figured that it was a scam. I looked up the number and found this page and I am so happy that we didn't get scammed. He did surprise me by asking to guess which cousin he was (when he called the first time) and I tried to guess and the first name that I guessed he said that it was him. I later asked him my mother's name, he didn't know. I am glad that it is all over now.
