My aunt received a call from a hispanic man claiming to be a nephew from Cuba.  She is not Cuban nor has any relatives from that country.  He asked if she remembered him.  When my aunt asked for his name, he replied "Thank you for remembering me" and then he proceeded to hang up.   Mi tia recibio una llamada de un hombre saludandola como un "sobrino" de Cuba.  My tia no es de Cuba. El desconecto la llamada cuando el no pudo obtainer mas informacion de mi tia.

On this version the caller knows my first and last name and identifies himself as a nephew.   This was under one minute as the caller hanged up the phone or the call was disconnected.

Received a phone call from this number 333-581-0345 and a guy in spanish language told me he was my nephew. When asked for his name he hang up. Be aware of it since this is a scam.

This guy called me too did you have any other incidents after this call?

A male with a Mexican/South American accent called claiming he was our nephew. When I refused to go on and give him more information he was very rude.

Called me to ask for money for a friend who was in trouble.  I reported the call to the police and the seventh time they called I told them that I had reported the number to the police and they hang up.

Received a call from a latin male claiming I was his uncle. When I asked him to identify whose son he was he hung up. I quickly reported it to the authorities as well as the phone carrier.

An Cuban-accented speaking individual just phoned from 333-581-0345.  
First, he  mentioned my Family name, asked if the phone number was correct, and then,  proceeded to ask for me in particular.
When he was told that I was not available, and asked to leave a message, the caller hanged-up,   immediately!
This type of harassing/scam calls must be reported.

Claiming to be a nephew that just arrive at the airport and wants to be picked up from the airport.  DO NOT GO TO THE AIRPORT.  This is a scam!  They are targeting seniors.  My Mom and my Uncle, both seniors, got the same call on different days.
