I received same call from 336-286-1700 this is a call from Dunn & bradstreet

Yes, this is DunN Bradstreet calling you.  NOT the same as D&B / DUN & Bradstreet the business credit reporting agency.  It's a total scam.

Dun & Bradstreet usually does have incorrect information about businesses that do not pay the extortion of $395/ yr and they refuse to remove or freeze access to that completely false credit and business information unless you do pay. I have been fighting this for years. I have a business that does extremely well to the point that I have bank business credit cards at 4% to get me to the end of the month and don't need anything else. I owe nothing on my business as I paid cash along the way so I would not be indebt to any other control. What that gets me is an extremely profitable business with no debt and a poor credit rating, even though my bank offers me $100's of thousands on a routine basis for expansion. they are a pain in the butt.  they call about a credit enquiry then try to pressure yuo in to purchase

yup.. got one just now from them.  I cut him off.  I said send us something on your letterhead to the address you "should" have on file for us and we'll address it then.  He pushed, claiming they don't mail anything anymore and I said oh well.. that's the only way we reply to requests over the phone.

they are totally misrepresenting the real D&B / DUN & Bradstreet company. wanted us to pay for some bogus ad listing.  hang up on them!

This caller ID is Dun & Bradstreet. With regard to the above comments; they're calling to usually update your file to be more reflective of business operations. Some of the products and services (which are valuable) are offered to customers that may need their assistance (i.e buiding a file, monitoring the activity in the file, etc).

D&B holds the commercial credit report to EVERY company, globally. It's not a good idea to "hang up" on them. They only call if there is a reasonable enough amount of activity.

The rates, terms and conditions you receive are based on the SCORES D&B maintains for YOUR company. If it's not "important" to you, rest assured it IS important to your creditors, your business partners, and customers. In todays market, companies need to understand the importance of their file with D&B and how it effects their cash-flow... listen to them when they call; they're very wise.

It is crap.....  Its legal extortion.  Its like a mob protection business.  Pay us and we will say nice things about you and report accurate information.  Dont pay us and your information will be there just as if you were paying us but it will be so inaccurate you will look bad.

Oh great, I keep getting calls from this number and like most of you I haven't paid them for their service I don't need. If there is bogus information on my business credit report I wouldn't even know where to start. My business has no debt and is in great standing. I hope on paper it still reflects the truth.

Sounds like the same sales pitch that [***] used on my answering machine,hmmmm.Anyway,I applied for and EIN number,and my guess is that's who's selling our numbers to these fly by night jack [***]!The Federal Government is giving away our private information,anyone surprised.That wasn't a question.So if for any reason you gave the Feds your phone number,you may as well change it,because these BS calls will continue as long as you have the same number.

I am on a do not call registry

This is a high pressure sales call from "Dunn & Bradstreet" (why misspelled on caller ID?) telling me that people are checking my business credit. I asked first thing what he was selling and said "not selling you anything"... went through his script again and then I asked him how much the annual fee is. "starts at $449" so he started out with a blatant LIE. Sorry, not getting my business. EVER. Had to tell him several times I was not interested and to remove my information from his records and never call again. Wasting my time and called me at home on my do not call registered residential line at 8:25am. No reputable business would act like this.

foolish, they said they use the report for loan etc. who cares these reports, anyway! come one, if we need money from banks, they look at our financial statements...who cares about these type of crap!  all these kind of credit report agencies are total crap and foolish...

Yeah they are pretty persistent, and they are pretty good actors as well, pretend to be very serious matter that needs immediate attention...they actually made me angry, told him you go have intercourse with yourself!! SHAME ON THESE CALLERS....
