Same thing they called left a message about sending the local police.  I called back and reported my husband happens to be on the police force and offered the phone number.  Their response was to hang up.  Have not heard anything since.

I got a couple of calls from this number. First one was a few days ago, they didn't say anything about the police then. Then today I got another call and they said that they would call the police if I didn't call them back. I never actually picked up to this number, I would see it calling and just let it go to voicemail as I do with all of the other unknown numbers. I could hardly understand the lady on the message. It sounded like she was saying that this message was for 'Carl'. Anyway, I aint calling her back or picking up to her.

got a call from these FAKES!!! they say they are in the state of North Carolina Federal Bureau "of the State"...(NO SUCH THING..your either Federal or State)..and they want me to pay a bill with a "WAL-MART GIFT CARD"...Child PLEASE!!! save it for someone that doesnt have an education!!

side note: called North Carolina, and they said "NO WAY"!!!

These people called the Human Resources Director at my husband's job.  I called them back, and was told this was for a payday loan he took out with Cash Net 500. First, it is illegal for them to release any information on a loan that isn't even in my name. Second, Cash Net 500 is not a lender; they only refer you to websites that you can apply through. I was, however, able through the Cash Net 500 website to punch in his ss# and it directed me to the payday loan website that we actually took the loan through.  I got their #, and called them directly and was able to work out a payment arrangement.  These are scam artists...and I checked with my local sherriff's office today, and NO ONE can have you arrested unless you have been served papers and failed to show.  DON"T fall for this!!!

I received a phone call from John Horrison and claiming that I will be in trouble if I don't return their phone call and they will send the police to arrest me.  

What are they doing scaring people!!!!!!

I just received a message from this number telling me that I needed to return the call by 5:30 pm tonight or there would be legal matters to deal with. I couldn't understand most of what she said... and no idea what she is even talking about...

I got a call from these people who say they will talk to your lawyer,but as soon as a lawyer contacts them, they don't want anything to do with them. They get very suprised when they here you have an attorney.

Received calls from this number at least once a day.  They claimed they were from the Virgina Department of Justice (with a North Carolina area code?? I don't think so).  They claim they will arrest the individual they are calling about if they don't get a response ASAP.

My cousin is a police officer as well. They refuse to send me anything in writing,. I called a pay day loan company and they told me that i do not owe them a thing.

agree! Also be aware of the phone number 916-395-0000. It seems like all these people share one phone number. Rude voicemails that treatening. also 336-308-3196 capt. John Harris he is a real jerk!!! Scott Schneider stating he represents oakview law group for payday loan e pay date. I emailed and called that pay day loan company and stated they have nothing under my name. SCAM!!!!!!! The number is 508-425-2741

this lady Patricia called me today on my emergency number. She stated you need to make a payment of $739.00 if not the police will come to your house. SCAM!!!!

I received a phone call from this number stating I was under a legal investigation and I would have charges pending if I didn't respond to this number

I got a call on my cell phone, the caller ID says it's "911" calling...first off 911 doesn't call you, you call 911, second the very arabic sounding lady said she was a Deputy Sherriff with the my city's police department...my city doesn't HAVE a police department!! We are protected by the county sherriff!! Then she said if I didn't respond within 24 WAKING hours she would send her "cops" and investigative team to my door to have me arrested...first of all they are impersonating a police officer...isn't that illegal??? YEAH BUDDY IT IS! I've dealt with these [***] before. My states AG did some research and most often the calls are being done on prepaid cell phones. One time I even heard BOWLING going on in the background!! The calls are also coming from places like the Bahamas and Mexico. One of these jokers actually wanted me to fax him a NOTARIZED copy of my CC number etc...!! When I called him out on it he just hung up!!
Don't fall for it and if you are unsure, contact your local law enforcement!!

Just recieved a call today they will have a warrant for my arrest for a loan that i never took out ,,,,,,by calling police station and state attorneys office they assure me it was a scam ,,,thanks to this site i see it is a scam ,,,,,,,,,,,,,god now i can breathe

got a call 8/31, claiming to  be police from colmbus, ohio. said something abvout fraud and would send a policeman to my house. called the number they gave me, no answer. what's going on.

Rec a call on my cell phone aug 31st some lady left a message saying i had 24hrs to call back or the police would be coming to arrest i return the call and spoke with a..hole name captain john harris ext 220
saying i took a loan out and i owe 4,000 he can hold my case for 400 if i pay him today moneygram. Told him to go hell he said the police will pick me up at 830am the next morn.

I got the same message from Ana White (police officer) Yeah right. And said I had a loan out and I know I don't. They said that they wish me luck with the plice and threatened to have me arrested at my workplace. I'm getting tired of these calls. I need some type of release. Cause I know that unless you have signed a document on or offline, you are not responsible for those charges. I will be calling my local sheriff station as well.

So what are ppl supposed to do? Really. I mean how do you stop these harrassing calls.
