Called my mobile number,,,,,,,,, ignored, no message left, called back from my desk....... vru stated, "you've reached the Pinger number - yada yada - to get your own no monthly charge unlimited text and calling #, etc... etc..." BLOCKED

I got a call, said hello, and hung up. Then I called back and it said some vm BS. I've blocked.

They hung up on their end as soon as I said hello. So it must be a auto dialer fishing for telemarketing leads

It was a guy wanting to see if my company needed working capital.  I told him to take me off the list or I was going to take him out.  He was taken back.   I receive 15 of these intrusive calls per day and I'm about ready to snap.  I have about 200 numbers now blocked and they wont stop.  Why don't these [***] go out and get a job working with their hands, contributing to society, and making the world a better place.  Instead they want to sit in a chair in the AC on the phone making easy money.  Therefore I say f*ck em.  They are a part of the problem why this country is going to sh*t.  They are no better than the Nigerian dipsh*ts that try to scam people out of their money online everyday.

Numerous calls to my cell w/message

I also received a call from Three Three Six - Three Two Nine -Three Nine Seven Five on 10/27/2014 at 11:20 AM EST.  I always ignore out of state area codes.  No message left for me.  Upon call back I got a generic VM asking that I leave a message.  Left a return message that this is a business and we are not interested.  
As for how to solve this problem:  There are numerous devices on the market for use with your home phone and my carrier provides a way to list numbers to block AFTER they have reached me.  But there is currently no way I know of to prevent all solicitation calls.  The national Do Not Call Registry is a joke.  Violators are not prosecuted.  I will vote for any candidate who comes up with a workable plan to prevent unwanted calls to all telephones and provide substantial enforcement and punishment for violators.
