I've received calls from this number several times and no one is there.

Calls multiple times a day, everyday does not leave a message, called this number back and get an automated service called "Active Periodicals" I have no clue who this company is. But I found more info on ripoff report.

I don't answer it anymore but it is ridiculous how many times it call my number.  What do I have to do to make it stop?

I have received many calls from the number 3366984596 sometime I might answer or just let it ring because you can hear people in the back ground but they never say anything to you just hang up.So every time I called the number back I get a recording saying I can push certain numbers to be removed but that's not possible if its always full. Is there any other way they can be reported because this is harassment.

They call several times a day.

The first time they called and said I tried to sign up for an online course -- uh, NO! Then they said I qualified for a home security system, which I promptly said I wasn't interested and hung up. My mistake, I didn't think to ask to be taken off their list. Although, through my web research, I'm not sure if that would have worked.

Since, that first phone call I now get calls that show up as "Unknown" Caller ID and Phone Number, and when I answer there is no one on the other end.

I got the phone number (above) by checking my phone record online with my cell company.

Prior to this I never had ANY problems, and I've had my phone number for approx. 4-years.

336-698-4596 evidently is Active Periodicals message system for being removed from their phone list. The message indicates it could take 24-hrs to be removed.

I hope this is true, because then next call I make is the BBB.

Incidentally, 1/2-hr after leaving a message to be removed from their list, I got another "Unknown" caller. My online records indicate the "Incoming" phone number was my own cell phone#. The only way this happens is when I call voice mail, which is, recorded as "voice mail" with my cell service. This wasn't the case when I checked. Things that make you go hmmmm!

Follow up (hopefully last one):

After calling 336-698-4596 and following the voice mail directions for removal (I didn't give my name, only phone#) I haven't had a call in approx. 2-days... incidentally, it 1-business day from leaving my information to no-calls.

Perhaps they're aware that the feds are about to take action with companies like Active Periodicals for their Robo Calling, etc. tactics.

So, hopefully I have no further troubles, but should I, I'll follow through with contacting the BBB and FTC. I'm saving my phone records from this episode.

I too have received numerous calls from this number.  I have attempted to answer and engage conversation, but they hang up???

Well, after several days of no calls I got another "unknown" caller.

I've seen online, that calling

has supposedly worked... I guess I'll find out.

These [***] just called me from periodicles laughed and hung up why the heck r they calling and how they get my number I'd like to know

I got the same thing and have reported them to the FCC.  I am on the do not call list.  If it continues, I will file a police report as well for harassment, they have called me twice in an hour now.
