call 3/3112        No message, just a busy signal left on machine

I don't answer these type call's it said N.C call,probably some scam.

someone with very heavy voice said they are from a firm that takse care of families of police...they ask for $$ Charity ...
I paid 25$ two time but don't do any more and I now give to my local police charity foundations

Charity call...they do not let you speak..and you end up paying..BEWARE !!!

OMG the same thing happened to me and i had to just hang up the phone they would not shut up, wow i could not believe it i was afraid that the next time i called them they  would not come or act like i was the person that they where called out too, wow i don't even go near the phone when i see that number, i want to leave and hi

This phone number is constantly harassing us!  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  These people call us several times a year asking for donations.  They don't understand the word NO!!!!!  I have had to hang up on them.  After I tell them that I am a college graduate who has been trying to find a steady teaching job for almost 3 years, they ask for money again!!!  How dare they!!!

I've received calls from this same organization for years using different phone numbers.  I called my local police once and asked  about it and was told that what money they collect would go to the larger cities and probably not to my local dept. because our police aren't usually killed on duty.  I also get calls from the fire department and was told by my local fire dept. that they only get 10% of the money collected.  The rest goes to the telemarketers.  I asked the scammers once how much they kept and how much they gave the FD.  I was put on the line with his supervisor who said I could call or write to HIS superior and rattled off a number then hung up. Technically, they are indeed a charity but since most of the money goes to them it's still a scam.  I don't get why these departments hire these people.  Scamming their neighbors is no way to raise money.

In just got 4 calls in about 5 minutes. No one ever spoke. I only answered the last 2.

A word of advice.....DO NOT answer these calls & don't let your machine pick up.....you are telling the scammers they have reached a working number.  And don't hit "1" to be taken off their list.....also tells them it's a good number.  I let my phone ring.....and after about 3-4 calls, they go on to someone who picked up their phone.  Use some common sense, people....

Police protection fund. Idiot wouldnt shut up so I hung up. They are using 3 or 4 other numbers as well. Will post them when I find the list

I just got a call from this number. They asked for my parents and I asked who it was. They ignored my question and asked for the man or woman of the household. I promptly told them I was on a no call list and if this number wasn't removed I would be reporting them. The guy immediately said please provide 72 hrs for this to occur. I asked again who was calling and what company they represented and was hung up on. Sounds like a scam to me.

I just got a call from this number & the man asked for "Carrie"...i told him he had the wrong number & the he said in kind of a nasty voice that "no i have the right number but wrong name" & i told him "[***] you do not have the right number nor the right name" jerk & the call was coming from Winston-Salem...it is a landline also.

i redialed this number & they have a recording on calling themselves:  "The Fundraising Information Center"...thought this might help.
