Indian accent wanting money. Extortion call

Male with foreign accent pushing an IRS/Treasury judgement scam.  He said to avoid a judgement or action by a grand jury we would need to cooperate.  Yeah, right.

Indian accent claiming I owe the IRS from 2012 and I gave a federal warrant and if I don't comply or hang up the officers will come get me. I said my taxes are paid, I gave a family member that works for the IRS and I do believe they'd have taken my taxes if I owed. I said I believe your a scam. He threatened to send officers if I hang up. INDEED I hung up on this scammer!

Some Indian [***] going by the name of "Steve Martin" claims that he is with the treasury department and ignoring the call will result in me going before a magistrate for federal crimes or some poorly worded broken English threat. The recording loops over and over until your machine times out.

Received the same U.S. Treasury threats with Criminal prosecution from this Dirt-Bag ....Steve "Apu" Martin,....attempting to speak english.

Got a call from this number, foreign accent, saying he was calling about a judgement action.  These calls are just a nuisance for me, but what about old or impaired people who might be more vulnerable.  These people need to be stopped and it infuriates me that the phone carriers refuse to stop them because they make money off them. I think it should be a prosecutable offense for a carrier to knowingly sell services to a robocaller or scammer.  On your 'call type' dropdown, could you include the category 'suspected scammer?'

Also, wouldnt it be great if sites like these would allow for people to upload an audio recording of the call along with their post?

Yes,, audio recording would be good.

Got a call on my cell phone. Don't usually answer numbers I don't know. Check messages and decide what to do. They did not leave a message and so I am blocking the number.
