No voicemail was left here either. It says MA, USA on location but I don't know anyone outside of my little area so I have no idea who it could be. Hopefully just a misdial.

Got a call from the number. Just silence. When I said "hello" again an automated system on the other end beeped and said "Good Bye". Someone to map phone numbers....no idea for what. But certainly not legitimate.

No message was left-it was a "missed call" as soon as I connected on my cellphone. Will delete the call record so as not to inadvertently call back.

I had the same experience as others.  My mobile phone rang and showed the caller as MA, USA. I have friends in Massachusetts so I answered.  Nothing on the line except a beep and an automated voice saying, "Goodbye."  Annoying as heck.

What you have just experienced is the result of a "predictive dialer" that had more calls answered than agents available.  Many if not most call centers use this technology to maximize agent utilization.  They call 3 or more numbers at a time for each available agent knowing that most of the time only one of the numbers called will reach a person to be transferred to an agent.  In the event that more answer, all after the first receive the "beep" and "goodbye"  however the computer notes a live answer and reinserts your number into the calling queue.  No answers or answering machines do not get recycled into the queue as fast.

    Ellen Show??
OK. So I received a call from a guy asking questions; which I didn't reply. I just prompted a "I didn't give you or any job site my number".. Did any of you submit to The Ellen Show (I submitted to the dancing portion) Random. I know. But I am very careful with my number. I can only assume spam could obtain my number THAT way. Either way, it's SPAM. Annoying!

Got a call from this number on my cell.  He said that I had filled out a survey regarding employment opportunities and he was calling to confirm.  I told him repeatedly that I hadn't filled out a survey and that we weren't looking for a new job.  Then he hung up!

Just got a call from this number. Said "hello," no response.  Said it again and finally someone said something about a job site survey.  I said "i have no idea what you're talking about" and then he either hung  up or simply stopped talking.  Weird.   the name of the company was WN positions (i called back).  I looked it up and found this.  http://www.scambook.com/company/view/111833/WN-Positions

Got a call from this number and live person on other end said they want to talk to me about a recent survey I took about job oppertunities.  He said that I stated I had no job and was looking for help. Sad for him cause I do have a job. What a loser....maybe he should get a real job instead of SCAMING.
