- Damien Gonzalezjust received a call from this number with no one speaking on the other line. when i called back, i instantly got a recording asking "if you would like to be placed on our Do Not Call List, press 1 now". which i did, though i'm suspicious that that confirmed my number for them as a valid phone number.
- jwjust received this # call.
- Remo| 1 replyWorthless bottom feeders keeps calling ... The worst thing of all is the U.S.Gov.won't do a thing to stop these [***]... You can complain all you want no action no results...... Don' call list is a joke'''
- J. DeanIt's 5:25 PM (Pacific Daylight Time) and I just got a call from this number. Not recognizing it (thanks to Caller ID) of course I didn't answer it...
The Caller ID display says Debt Be Gone...
Just who in the xxxx are these people???
A scam? A bill collector?
FYI ... if you don't have caller ID, get it! It's worth the price to see these [***] coming...
If you want to have some fun with these [***], get a police whistle, and blow it loudy into the phone if you get a live person - that'll blow the peanut butter out of their ears!!- Caller: Debt Be Gone
- Mike replies to RemoI got the call as well. No message left.
The don't call list isn't exactly a joke, they have gone after several most notably the "heather from account services" who had a "service" so bad it was a criminal scam to boot. But they have limited resources. Really people have too high an expectation of reporting calls on the website. Reporting them is sort of like casting a vote asking the govt to look into it.
Most of us have experienced the number or calls we get to way down since the list came into place. Probably because most of the people who try to make a buck off autodialers really do follow the law.
Maybe some day we can get a stronger law that just plain shuts off the phone banks of the criminals who don't follow the law. The problem is that phone companies don't want to cooperate because it puts them in the position of being the "phone police", which is an expensive proposition for them. - peddlerpI just received a call from this number. I didn't recognize the new(er) 339 area code, so I did not answer. They did not leave a message.
Another number to list as Trash in my database... I'll never answer it in the future.
BTW, I usually forward my landline to my cellphone. I created several dummy names "Trash" "Magazines" Wrong Number" "Bad Number" that I associate with these painintheass calls. I assigned a "Silent" ring tone... now I miss all of them...- Call type: Telemarketer
- AunTeeJust received call from 339-502-6709. Caller ID said it was from Debt B Gone (what a mature name! I sure would take these guys serious and want them to have all my sensitive info!) The 339 area code is in Canton, MA. A reverse look-up did not reveal an address and said it was unlisted or a cell phone. Since this came in around our dinner hour, it's easy to visualize a cell routed thru an auto dialer at their 9pm hour whilst they're kicked back watching their favorite TV show. Or, who knows! Maybe they're sleeping!
I'm reporting them to the FCC and you should too. The only way the FCC even begins to go after robocallers, junk callers and the ilk is if there are enough complaints. I was told this when I began a series of followup complaints from a refi company in San Diego that kept calling (ultimately, they were fined $11,500).

- Vashti| 2 repliesThese antisocials are calling me every day, sometimes more than once. I am on the Do Not Call list and have reported them to the FCC, but nothing seems to work. In desperation I signed up for the Blocked Numbers option with Verizon (they say it will cost $4 a month - we'll see). When I tried to block this particular number, I got a recording from Verizon saying it was "unavailable" and therefore couldn't be blocked - HUH? What the heck are they charging me for then? Feels like I have fallen down the Rabbit Hole.... Can't anyone do anything
- Caller: Debt Be Gone
- not Michael replies to Vashtiput the number in your contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring". (You might need to download the ring tone.) It won't stop the calls but it will make them easy to ignore.
- brendai tell them to hang on while i go look for the party they're calling.

- TimPointless. It's even hard to say if the number it shows on the caller ID is even the real number they're calling from. My cell number is 530-227-XXXY and I got a call the other day from a telemarketer (recorded message from) 530-227-XXXZ (literally 3 or 4 increments higher than my own nunber). I called to let the woman know and she had no idea what I was talking about, but it just goes to show how these f**kers can do anything they want and there's nothing any of us can do about it. I'd encourage people to just keep them on the line to feed them BS info and waste their time, but the automated calls do away with that, and that would take up time if you're on a cell and cost you money. It's clear that the phone/cell companies and law enforcement will never bother to stop these people. You see complaints for years about the same number with no action. I would seriously cause physical harm to a person doing this if I ever found them, and I'm not some nut... but I'll go ballistic on them if I ever find them.
- Caller: unknown
- Tim replies to VashtiThat's the problem, the number it shows these scammers and telemarketers are calling from, very well may not be that at all, but just what they've configured it to show. The fact the cell and phone companies allow connections to be made from numbers that are fake, shows where the weak link in the chain is, and why they probably don't bother to do anything (they probably don't have the ability to track and stop them even if they wanted to, because they're system is flawed/broken to allow it in the first place). This is why when people report calling the spammer's back that they get a message saying the number isn't in service (it probably isn't and it's just a number the scammers select to display.. which is the problem that they're allowed to do it, from God knows what place in the world).
- LarryI know it is a scam my best advice is not to answer
They don't respect the Do Not Call List- Caller: Debt b gone
- Kyle| 1 replyCall ID as Debt B Gone. Answered no response. Reported to the FCC and blocked this number using my U-Verse call blocking option.

- SNaFU| 5 repliesAnnoying calls
Fact 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work! Everyone knows this...or should know this!
Fact 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work! A total waste of time. Done that.
Fact 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - no "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy. Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.
