Filed FCC complaint & blocked number.- Call type: Telemarketer
- hey-ho steve-oCard Member Services as well, when I asked the woman what card they were calling about a man listening in told me to shut up. I asked what was going on, he said never to speak to his wife like that again and that he was going to kill me. I asked who they were and they said "give me your credit card numbers in a threatening voice." I said no and they hung up.
Caller ID said USVI or USIV... I filed a complaint with the FCC and blocked them. None of the categories below match what they were - Theives trying to steal my Credit Card info.- Caller: USVI
- DocIt's a Robo-dialer. I know because I have a secondary number on my VOIP system and it was just called. You won't get that system to stop churning out numbers and they will not honor any do-not-call lists. They are not in the USA and don't care.
Either simply ignore them, block them like I do or deal with it because they won't stop. - MaryKleft message 'please press 1 now to lower your interest rates'. It was a female voice
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RichWARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
- Wendy K.| 1 replyCell phone rang while at work with a call from this number. I knew at once it was some kind of scam since it was identified as coming from USVI, so I immediately "declined" the call on my iphone, and I'll now go in, create a contact and use the wonderful "block this caller" feature on the iphone so I don't see it again. That sends all those calls directly to VM. Love that feature LOL
- ShelleyI don't answer calls that I don't recognize. I do look them up. This call came in on my cell. My cell is only for emergency and family. I pay by the minute so it is rarely used. How do they get the number? I will report to the FCC. I did register on the do not call list. Where is my privacy gone? I hate this kind of stuff. I want to be able to pick-up my phone without looking at the caller ID. I used to be able to do that.
- VincentSame as above. Recorded woman's voice about lowering interest rates.
- Caller: Scam Artist from USVI
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CJYep! Same old thing, they usually call during lunch hour...Tis the season and I hope they get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
- Galina replies to Wendy K.Thanks for advice
- Margie SalazarUnwanted call from scammers
- Caller: credit card company
- SamThis is a robocall from a generic company called "Cardholder Services". Asks you to press 1 to be connected to a representative and then puts you on a short hold. I spoke to "Grace" who hung up after I asked how she got my phone number since I am on the Do Not Call registry. Reported to the FCC. If you get a call from them then report them otherwise it will not end: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
- Caller: Cardholder Services

- Cranky BearI just got a call from these bozos on my cell. Ignored it.
Don't bother trying to call them back. Don't EVER use any "opt out" option they offer. Don't bother cussing them out for violating the DNC List and calling you.
When they call on my landline and I have a few minutes to kill, I will sometimes pick up and hit 1 just to waste their time. It is a hoot stringing them along. Then, oooops, just disconnect in mid-syllable. They have no way of knowing if they lost a live one, or were being jerked around.
