i got a text from this number telling me to enter the code beta and i would recieve an apple ipad3 for testeng and keep from applewith the add http://theipad3.mobi where is the code and i dont like to play and how did they get my number

don't believe this shmeal. Apple does not send out random texts to people claiming to ''give away'' an item that clearly costs 700.00. You will not get anything for free by being a beta client. Avoid all calls and texts from this number.

this is horrible i got a text and so did my boyfriend how did u get my cell number this is not funny.

I have received spam text messages that cost *me* 20 cents each from this number. They are usually telling me I am a contest winner.

They told me thath they have my wife.....
And I send by western union...

And I was so scared....

My fiance got a text from this number saying someone you know was in a car accident and to call.  So I called from another line and they said a woman was in an accident and gave them my number.  After talking to this guy for a bit it was clearly BS.  I told him I was calling the cops.

I just got a text and a phone call from this number as well with the same scenario...the guy kept asking if i had a son that drives and kept insisting that one of my family members are badly injured.  I told him i would call him back and now he's not picking up my call.

I rec'd a text from this number, telling me there's been an accident here in N.Y. at a gas station & that someone I know is very seriously injured. To please call back at this number. I suspected scam right away. If they got my number from the "injured" person's contact list, why not actually call & state the person's name, not to mention your own..paramedics, police etc. Instead they text? Of course, I still checked immediately with family members & friends. This is deplorable, & must be stopped! Hopefully if enough of us complain, the powers that be can track these people down file charges against them..maybe for emotional distress & shut them down.

They call me yesterday with the same story said that  my son was in a car accident and and the owner of the other car is going to shoot my son if i don't send $1,700 by western union. i was so scared , almost a heart attack.

Two days ago my sister recieved a phonecall from this exact number. Two men threatened to kill our father if she didnt send them $1700 through Western Union. They were both hispanic and spoke in both english and spanish. It was the same exact scenario of a car accident at a gas station. They new his name, car model, car type and that he had two daughters. She was so terrified that she believed them and stould on the phone with them for about two hours. By the time my family got involved, we found out that my dad was home the enitre time and curse them to hell. RIDICULOUS. My sister is still a little traumatized and shaken up about it. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED

They are still trying to scam people. I got a text message stating someone in NY was in a car accident in a gas station. I called the number after getting the text and they started talking about holding my brother hostage. After three minutes of b.s. I hanged up on the caller they tried calling again. But I did not pick up. Really bunch of low life's feeding on people's fear and love for their loved ones. Lesson learned through this experience always google the phone number calling or texting before answering an unknown number.

They just tried to scam my father, and he called me about it.
They never identify themselves. They use one of 3 scams.
1. you won and I-Pad ad want your credit card no. and Info(including SS No.)
2. They are hold family member (wife or child usually) hostage and want you to send $1700 right away via Western Union, before you can check it out.
3. And their most favorite... Someone (usually tell you a relative, usually a female) in car accident at a gas station in middle of no where. They are hold them there till someone pays damages of $1700. They usually want it sent Western Union.
The number is to a prepaid cell, in the Bronx. I got a location of E. 223 St. by Bronx River Pkwy from a paid reverse phone look up site.  Here is link to them and complaints listed....

From what I get from complaints, 2 males with Hispanic accent, both seem to prefer speak Spanish but do also talk in English. Ive tried to report it to the Cops, they said nothing they could do about it.  So much for their help. I figure it only a matter of time before they try to get people to meet them in person.  Everyone please be careful dealing with them. Best thing, is just hang up on the.
Latest cell ping, now puts them at Cross Bronx Epwy and Boston Rd, so apparently they are moving.

Screw these guys! It's a scam and THEY ARE LYING.

They told me the gas station/brother story. They knew names, but not much else.

I'm reporting them to the police.

I got a phone call from this number saying the gas station scenario, cursing and screaming at me saying my sister has been in a car accident. Me being at work at the time I didn't know what to think I just fell to my knees. Don't let them scare you like they did to me. Called the cops, just be aware.

Same Scenario, Gas station scam, someone you know got in a car accident, they want money to not kill the family member that got in the accident.

Received a phone call from this number with the same story about a car accident at a gas station and how they held my father hostage and would kill him if I didn't send them money. I guess they've done this act so many times because they've perfected it. I was horrified. For a moment  I really believed that they really did have my father, but once they started asking me for financial information I thought it was a scam. I feel badly for anyone affected by this. I'm still shaken up thinking that there are people like this in this world

I got this same phone call today they even went as far as pretending to torture someone who they said was my father and did fake gun shots.  said they were holding him hostage. I hung up once i called my parents to see if my father was ok! they called me back 3 more times until they turned the phone off.

I just got this text today and the phone call as well that they had my father.  They were cursing at me and even pretended to give gun shot sounds.  I called my mother on the other line and she even heard the psycho screaming on the other line.  once i heard my dads voice through my moms phone I hung up.  They called me back 2 more times which I ignored.  [***]!
