Today they called and threatened my son that if he didn't get a message to me soon I would have police surrounding my house by Monday, something about my Social Security number.

Today I received a call from a man claiming to be Officer Michael Johnson.  He said I have a claim put against me from Cashnetusa.  I ahve never had a loan through them.  I called this person back and he started threatening me that he will come to my work and arrest me.  I reported this number to the local police and the SD states attourney office.  I also blocked this number through Verizon.  This is a fraud thing.  They haD MY FULL SOCIAL SRCURITY NUMBER.  Don't give them your banking info hope they call me back so I can let them have it.

Today, I received a similar threat that the police were going to arrest me and they had my ss number. This was a very threatening call from a man claiming to be officer Michael Jones. He had a very thick accent and could not answer basic questions like who he was with and what the reason for the call was for ..So I am thinking this is some kind of fraudulent activity

They called my husband at work and he works in a hospital. The man had a foreign accent claiming to be Officer Jeff Martin and said that he wanted $477.35 sent to him by money order to Chattanooga,TN by 3:30pm or he would be at his house or work to arrest him the next day. We reported it to NCC Police for fraud and scam and they said there is nothing they can do to stop them. The officer stated that some people actually send the money and then they want more. The people being scammed do not get their money back and police can do nothing about it. The Officer said there was a program on Dateline about this and it's running rampid right now. Officer advised don't bother with a lawyer because it's a waste of money. You can never track them. So, Jim Smith from Guatemala won't come to your home or work to arrest you. Don't give your personal information online for loans or anything. This is how they get your information.

today I received a phone call from Jeff Martin called my cell phone several times wanted to know when can he pull money off my card I fell for it twice but do not fall for this take it from me do not let these ppl scare you they also call your your job saying you will be arrested they got my information from online.

So this man started calling my place of business JUST NOW, had all my personal information, said if i didnt pay $665.33, i would be arrested tomorrow morning, well im not the smartest person on earth but not the dumbest either. So when i googled his telephone number & this page pops up, so i call me back and give him a piece of my mind. He obviously did not like this, so he called my job several times after this. But even if the local police cannot do anything about this, i will place a report. CYA!!! My mother did not raise no fool.....

Yes and he went by the name JEFF MARTIN, He has an Indian Accent with the name of Jeff Martin, sure and im hispanic and my name is Shaniqua Jones.lol

Yeah they called me too and said the U.S. Department of Justice was filing charges on me for receiving a loan from US CASH ADVANCE. Which I never have so that already made it a scam. So I listened to the India guy and when he was done I told him your full of S#@T and if you call again i will report them to the state attorneys office. He said no not full of S#@T and then hung up. I laugh cause if they call me again threating to do debtor imprisonment on me claiming ill be arrested ill say do it cause our laws dont allow that anymore. There is a process the legal department has to follow and using a foreign speaking agent to call and threaten is not protocol. So if you get a call just hang up or do what i do and speak back to them in their lauguage. I always say " Do you want a slurpy" or "come again" lol. Amazing how they think they can scam people, ecspecially a law student like myself!

We got the same call from an Officer Jeff Martin. He told us one of our employees was going to be arrested. We told him that would be great and he hung up. The person he called has never worked for us.

received call this morning on my cell phone.  Male heavily accented voice says he is a NYC police officer looking for aj.  I said who are you.  He says I have an arrest warrant for aj.  I said why are u calling.  He said are you aj.  I said why are you calling from NY.  The caller said if I don't get in touch with aj today he will be arrested tomorrow.  I said OK.  Give me your call back information.  The caller provided this number, 347-342-1770.  The caller background noise sounded as if he was calling from the street or a noisy telemarketing office.  I could hear him telling other people to be quiet.  I googled the number and it directed me to this forum.  I think the state or federal government could look into this illegal scam/harrasment/intimidation/fraud/extortion/ID theif...The fact that its ongoing and happening across state line should make it a federal offense, perhaps under the FBI juridiction.  the government has the technology required to catch the criminals if they decide to do so.

on 7/12/12 @ 11am i recieved a call for one of my employees. i told the man this is his work place and he is not available can i take a message . he then told me his name was officer brandon taylor. i asked him what law enforcement agency was he from he told me legal law enforcement. i asked what it was in regards to he said his ss#  and if he doesnt call he will be arrested tomorrow and proceeded to telling me the social s# which wasnt even correct for the employee
