call is from Robert of American Power & Gas....alternative electric offering to National Grid....sales call!!!!! wants us to switch from National Grid to American Power & Gas for our electric service.... referring to call him at 1-800-210-9011 ext 4728.

Did not answer, caller left vmail - Johnathan from American Power & Gas requesting to speak with the holder of the policy of a National Grid Account requested a call back to 1-800-210-9011 ext 4759. Funny, I don't have a National Grid Account; therefore, it must be either sales or fraud/scam call. There should be an option for Caller Type: %&$#?@!

called me to tell me about a rebate from NYSEG, they left me voice mails, plan to call NYSEG and report.

Isabell called from American Power and Gas to tell me that I was getting a 'rebate' from my electrical company and wanted to talk to me about it.  FUnny thing, I OWE money to my electric company right now.  Annoying spam call.  Why isn't the 'do not call list' not working lately?????????

Isabel sits right behind believe it or not, lol. We are telemarketers yes, but we work solely for American power gas. We handle accounts from the enrollment stage all the way through the entire process of them being a customer. We deal with customer service and any questions you may have. We supply energy through NY and PA to work on getting you the cheapest gas and electric rate possible. It's not a scam we are licensed but we do call many people and may have an outdated database which makes us look bad. Although I sole purpose is too make sure people are satisfied with what they pay on their utility bills.

Also we don't switch you from the utility we just supply energy through them. The utility still does all the billing, customer service, and meter reading.

This company has called several times; our company admin. manage told them we were not interested. A rep. later called back leaving a message that they had a refund check from New York State Electric & Gas, and claiming that our employee hung up on them. Both claims are fraudulent. From the previous posts, it is clear that this is a real company but they are apparently willing to engage in deceitful practices to snare new customers so it would be crazy to do business with them.

CALLED 3X IN A ROW and left message on 3rd attempt. So very freakin' annoying.  This complaint site needs another category in the drop down menu: "WTF".

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn’t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ‘Spoof Number” – A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ‘live one’ and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ‘press a key’ to ‘opt out’  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ‘log’ your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

First these SCAMMERS called at 2:25 pm and Caller ID stated; "Name Unavailable".  They called back under the same ID number one minute later and caller ID stated: "Bronx, NY".  This is a home energy service switching SCAM!

Called three times in a row when we didn't answer.  We never answer calls that are obvioulsy sales crap.
